SI: Texas Tech could pay out $55 Million NIL

$1mil + for a softball pitcher.

There’s a New NIL Enforcement Entity in College Sports.

So again, a lot of teams prob are pushing nil deals thru before this enforcement happens so the Wild West could be tamed some.

Per the article, seems like a little detail was
overlooked.

Athletes, collectives, and even state attorneys general aren’t parties to those agreements, however. The ACC’s Phillips said there’s been no formal plan implemented in case one of those groups decides to sue to challenge the clearinghouse.

See it being pushed through fast.

I just do not see why it is so hard for people to not cheat and just enjoy sports on a level playing field.

Is there a way to move this thread to the satellite thread, so that it doesn’t have to be the first thing to read anytime there is UH football news?

So football news that directly impacts UH competition is for the Satellite?

I don’t want to read about Tech’s new billion dollar buyer/ donor/ NIL/ private jet/softball pitcher. Especially at the top of the football thread. Goodness.

Have you tried muting it? You aren’t forced to read every thread.

Good idea.Thanks.

John Sellers is basically single-handedly funding this (he’s Cody Campbell’s Double Eagle partner).

They’ve added AAs from Florida (19HR) and Tennessee (16HR), a stud pitcher from UCLA, and SIU’s career home run leader.

If they don’t win the whole thing, the coach will have to go.

Are y’all talking about freaking softball
???

Talking about money and donors basically funding individual programs to significantly raise the bar - you know, the exact opposite of our baseball program.

And yet you’ll not just read but post about Florida going to the White house after winning the Ntl championship??

This feels a lot like paying for a high end prostitute, then thinking you’re hot sh*t because an attractive woman is with you.

So stick with the cheap ones?

Funding a $1M softball NIL is like betting on Spring training baseball. You’re devoid of reality and have a problem.

Unless it’s a wifey deal. “You spending all that/our money on tt sports? You best include the women as well if you know what’s good for you!” :sunglasses:

No one brags about the cheap ones

*shrugs, that $$ could pay a lot of regular student scholarships lol, priorities

It’s probably at least 5x that much.

And there’s definitely some spousal influence. :slightly_smiling_face:
