SMU didn’t deserve a playoff spot!

Errr…they were in the playoffs. The fact they were blown out matters less. Tennessee got blown out. Clemson wasn’t competitive.

So what? They made the playoffs. That’s what matters.

There nothing unusual about SMU’s margin of defeat in the playoff era, since postseason games have never really been close The average score of a CFP game from the four-team era was 40-21. The average BCS Championship: 33-18. What, are we gonna redesign the NFL playoffs because the NFC South champ didn’t belong in the minds of some?

How many times we heard the SB was boring ( halftime show was better) because it wasn’t competitive.
