Mexican palms are the ones that fare well, as they are ferns

They make palm trees that are cross bred or genetically modified to resist the cold. It could be done.

Perfect

Put some palm trees on the new EZ party deck and for night games, light them up with scarlet red and white lights.

Neon palm trees like at Fizz.

I’ve been told by landscape architects and nursery folks down here in the RGV that the only palms native to Texas are the Sabals that grow naturally in places along the Rio Grande River and that all the others were introduced from other places like Florida for instance. There is a Sabal Palm Sanctuary near Brownsville that one can visit (sabalpalmsanctuary.org). If you ever saw old black and white Tarzan movies with Johnny Weissmuller playing Tarzan, the jungle scenes were filmed there. The first time I visited there I had this vague feeling I had seen this place before and later realized I had… as a kid at the Saturday afternoon movies.

The palm growing out of the roof might be the best one.

Love the old Tarzan movies with Johnny Weismueller. You couldn’t get away with some of the scenes nowadays.

I would love for the team to hit the field with the Tarzan yell, but it is sound marked by the Edgar R. Burroughs Estate.

Just went to the store in pearland and saw these. Im pretty sure these have been here before the freeze. Pretty sure this is the species that’s resistant.

Nice

I can hear it now… Hurricane came whippin through there and caught the video board just right. Lifted up the entire dadgum stadium like a kite and dropped it up there in Montgomery County where they use it for youth soccer now.

Plastic works well . . . . .

I see it too.

Yes if we could replace all of those hideous power lines with palm trees, that would be lovely.
