Dude you gotta replace your windshield.
Should the signeage for Operations Center be bigger?
If i drive by this bldg. Its has Memorial Herman on it
Some visitor could think its for a medical center. Could definitely indicate Football more on the outside
It looks clean. Obviously what happens inside matters more. But could have a more UH football look on the outside
I like the palm tree idea too
AKA, Yucatan Pickup Stand. Ah, good times…
I think it being attached to the football stadium is enough clue for most people.
I love that we have a 360 walkway now and probably one of the first things I do when we get their for the opener will be to do a loop.
After looking at it again it doesn’t matter if it has a back, the board itself has the same wind resistance as the back would have.
If you look at the video board at A&M the back looks like it might be a fabric, I wonder if they are not finished with it or if it will receive a cover when they do the stadium rebrand next year. There is no reason it would need to be ridgid and making it out of fabric would allow for the ability to cheaply change the designs.
To me, being concerned about what the “back side” of the scoreboard looks like seems to be like being concerned about what the “under side” of your automobile looks like. Most likely folks will never even see or notice either one of them unless they are (a) driving north along Scott Street south of the stadium and looking for a scoreboard or (b) changing the oil in your car.
I think we are missing out on a promotional opportunity…
Loved the old Hollywood Squares. The new Hollywood Squares with Drew Barrymore is cringe-worthy.
Don’t know about that - I see that area every time I come to a football game, and there are more eyes on that side of the video board every day than will see the stuff at the front of the stadium or the TDECU sign. In fact, between car and train traffic through there, I’d wager that more people see the back over the course of the year than see the front.
It’s kind of prime visibility real estate.
If you’re looking at the bottom of your car that much, you should look into making a change.
Fixed it for you.
Man this looks so good. I want palm trees:sob:
Yeah thats been on my list of things to do…
I’ve found better things to spend $700 on… with all the heavy construction going on in Houston, cracked windshields are an inevitability here. Just like getting roofing nails in your tires after a hurricane…
Having attended a few games over the past several years, IMHO and judging on past attendance, a lot more folks will see the back side than will see the front side of the scoreboard.
Sell it as billboard space, make a profit.
Pusch and Nguyen
hope that memorial hermann logo isnt yet another time paid deal like the stadium, seems that is spreading, i see the chick fil a satellite coming next.
Yeah it’s really bad when companies give us millions of dollars boosting our annual revenue streams. /s
“Honey, I’m having a heart attack. Take to that hospital attached to a football stadium!”
