Screw them, after reading their boards they deserve it. They constantly made posts about how it they would get a place in a better P5 conference than UH because they deserved it more than us.

TCU is going to replace that game with a Southern Miss/New Mexico State/Tulsa buy game. It isn’t good for CFB.
I personally think y’all should play SMU annually. Dallas/Houston hate is a real thing.

The issue for UH is that we now play at Waco or Ft Worth every year.
Why not Tech vs UNM every year?
My daughter was just there for a dance camp with her team (Blinn). Said their dining hall is first class, so they have that going for them.

Not a fan of TCU dropping the SMU game. One of the few long played rivalry games left. Also more so that there will still be an FCS team on the schedule.
Changing to all home games does not sell many tickets when you fill the spot with a team no one wants to pay for. I doubt many people buy tickets for the FCS game when more season ticket holders probably just give them away or sell for $5 on stubhub.

Tech played UNM several times while I was there. There’s some good hate there since Tech pulls a lot of NM kids that might otherwise go to UNM. Wouldn’t be opposed to it.

It would be hilarious if they replaced the game with UNT. Like what UT did when they play the Nerds in Houston.

I personally liked the rivalry with SMU. I like beating them of course not losing lol. When I lived in Ohio, I never missed the chance to rep H-town and put down Dallas. hahah

I don’t care if TCU/SMU play every year or not.
However, UH v Rice is a GOOD thing for BOTH programs.
We need a G5 opponent every year.
We need a beatable G5 opponent every year.
There’s a trophy.
We benefit from not having to travel out of city for extra game.
Fans get an extra home/in-town game every other year.
Rice isn’t our competition.
