Tech May Not Sign House Agreement

Weigman’s main NIL deal is with Cotton Holdings, which is where his dad works. This deal yes was brought over from A&M.

The other deals he got included Raisin Canes, but that would’ve likely gone to whoever the starting QB was since they support UH in Houston so much

But yeah our NIL ecosystem isn’t that great. I think if we sustain success then it will eventually grow.

We suffer the issue of not getting big deals based on brand alone like UT/A&M does

So…youre sayinh TAMU gave us $$ for the 2025 season for Weigman?

That’s not true…there are no NIL contracts.

Weigman could have gotten money from most any school in 2025 and he picked UH.

We also have secured the #1 2026 recruit with NIL $$.

Not seeing how we are doing poorly in the NIL wra

No.

Weigman’s primary NIL deal is with Cotton Holdings, but all NIL deals have to be technically funneled through universities.

They merely brought it to UH. It would’ve gone anywhere Weigman transfered to.

Somebody get me Tilman on the phone?

If only he were as big an NIL sugar daddy as he is a sugar daddy for other things, we’d be on easy street.

Who do you think you are?
Should I listen to A.G. Paxton or the law pissed off law firm?
Paxton clearly states what is wrong with this so called agreement.
The way is ratified is obviously a “first draft”
What is it that you can’t understand of one school, just school opposes it?
So far two schools oppose it. This so called agreement is dead right now.

Mark Cuban has provided IU with an impressive bag. They bought good players. Why aren’t you outraged?

Bless your heart. You’re all over the place. One minute you’re arguing that UH should sign an agreement that takes away all of their rights. When presented with a possible scenario unfavorable to UH, you argued that UH should oppose any such move made by the CPC.

How do you propose to do that when you’ve signed away your right to question any and all decisions handed down by them?

Against yourself as regards the ascendancy of IU?

Lots of communists want this NIL era shut down

No.

If IU has a sugar daddy, then I REST MY CASE that only a) big brand blue bloods with deep pockets, AND b) other schools with big sugar daddies like Oregon, Tech, and IU will really move up in the NIL era.

As I said RICH GET RICHER.

HAVE NOTs get poorer.

IU having a sugar daddy only CONFIRMS my hypothesis.

Dig?

They do. Mark Cuban is their sugar daddy.

You should NOT listen to Paxton as the disgrace and indicted felon that he is.

You shouldn’t even have to ask that.

For the umpteenth time.

If Tech wants to go rogue, let them do it on their own, that way, they only put themselves in jeopardy.

DON’T insist that UH do so as well.

Then you’d be putting UH and all we’ve worked for to be in a power conference in jeopardy.

Unless UT or aTm side with Tech, DON’T expect us to.

Then as I said, I REST MY CASE!!!

Hypothesis confirmed!!!

That Texas GOP primary for the senate next year will be mighty interesting…

Tell that to their legal team. Surely their legal opinions is in a much higher scale than yours. Don’t pretend you know more that their legal team on this matter.
BUT HEY, the law pissed off law firm knows more about law than everyone else.
You never disappoint.

Tech has/

Don’t bet on it.

If that were the case, then why haven’t the UT, aTm, or UH legal teams had similar gripes?

Why listen to Tech over them?

That’s dumb.

UT, aTm, and UH all have higher ranked law schools, and the Lubbock Barbis nothing to write home about.

Again, if UT or aTm complain, then it’s different.

As long as it’s just Tech, ignore them and let them get themselves booted.

NOT US!!!

Dumb? That’s the best you can come up with?
uta and atm have f…d for decades why on earth should we align ourselves with them? Clearly you have no have no clues why they uta/atm are pushing this…but of course you do. You are not that…
blue bloods wants this and everybody knows why.

Why would we align ourselves with Tech who doesn’t have the clout to block this, and end up getting kicked out with them?

That would destroy everything we worked for.

NOT worth the risk.

UT and aTm might have the clout to block this, but they aren’t complaining.

Unless and until one of them complain, don’t be caught getting kicked out with Tech.

It’s NOT worth it.
