So, Tech, with no clout, is better positioned to ruin all UH has worked for, more so than aggy or UT?
UT and aTm have enough clout to win a fight like that.
Tech doesn’t.
They’ll lose, and then they, and anyone else on their side will get either punished or kicked out.
I don’t want UH to be on their side and face similar consequences when that happens.
If UT or aTm protest, then we’ll reassess.
But not before.
What the offices of the pissed off law firm does not tell you is that law has “legs” to stand on as far as teetech being kicked out. None whatsoever. They would have no legal grounds to do so.
He is hyperventilating…maybe too much turkey or his stuffing was spiked with teetech moonshine.
Except that there would be legal grounds.
Again, all private associations can kick out members that don’t comply with their membership requirements.
If Tech refuses to sign, the Big 12 and NCAA would both be perfectly within their rights to kick Tech out for not complying with the membership requirement of signing on to the Houae enforcement mechanisms.
In the case of the Big 12, all it’d take is a vote of the other members.
And even short of kicking them out, the conference can deny them revenue distribution.
Tech won’t win that fight. Not enough clout.
And I don’t want UH to be standing on their side when they lose and get punished, because we are likely to get similarly punished.
Sure, sure law if you say so.
I do.

Again, Tech has signed the agreement, albeit unadvisedly. Has Houston signed?
Well somebody forgot to to tell the Lubbock avalanche
Talking about hometown newspaper spin
Texas AG stops universities from signing CSC’s participation agreement Texas AG stops universities from signing CSC’s participation agreement
The Tech president apparently signed prior to the AG rendering his counsel.
“Accidentally”……

Here is the key:
Great that changes are coming. This was always a starting point while the big10 and sec wanted to force feed it down our throats.
It’s funny how it only took TWO SEASONS for the BLUE BLOOD PROGRAMS to realize THEY had better get a cap on NIL (and keep that cap as low as possible).
They know they lost their advantage of UNDER THE TABLE PAYMENTS. Now ANYONE can pay players legally. And they know that in the long run that could ruin their programs.
Siding with TT on this one.
If TT does agree, they are agreeing to be a second rate team in perpetuity.
Then they can protest and possibly get kicked out.
Second rate is better than being out of the game.
Be kicked out by whom? By what authority? Just because powers that be, say they can? I think it take the conference schools to do that. I don’t think B12 going to do that. I think that CSC has to be accepted by all 68 schools, if not it’s DOA.
I knew it. The law pissed off law firm has some real insights on what is going down with the agreement police department. Watch out friends. This is getting serious.

By the Big 12.
The other members could kick them out.
On what authority? Cuz they feel like it? ![]()
