Tech May Not Sign House Agreement

That’s all you need, a vote from the members and they’re gone

Uh-huh.

After reading the agreement if baylor and tech don’t sign, I see it being revised some then sent back to the schools to sign. So they probably have to revise it if 2 don’t sign bc it says all 68 need to sign to be valid.

I’m concerned about the harsh penalty of no conference pay for cheaters. That’s pretty harsh even for cheating. Lol. It could almost kill a program.

Also the g5 or g6 don’t have to abide by this bc no input but what then stops a Memphis with fedex money from doing what they want?
What’s to stop a g5 from just going all out on payments while we have to abide by the laws?

I still agree we need rules all must adhere to so maybe they revise it to make it palatable for all and we have rules.

They probably should throw a clause in their addressing “bag money” to harshly penalize that action.

So I think a revision is the next step after reading it which they also said .

I read in an article one school was Texas Tech, the other was from a different power conference.

There is a second school in a different power conference, a power-conference administrator told FOS on condition of not naming the school.

Is that just Baylor trying to hide they are the second school?

Did anyone notice the following?

Kicking them out? They have as much of chance of doing that and wanting to do that, as pigs growing wings and flying.

That makes no sense.

While highly unlikely, it is possible for member schools to vote to kick out a school for wanting to ignore rules. It’s not impossible.

You can’t let inmates run the asylum. Impunity has gone waaaaay too far in this country and I’ll leave it at so as to not stir up flag boy sensitivities.

NIL is the definition of Pure Capitalism- the market will set the value ($$) for what you are worth.

People who complain about NIL are anti-capitalists and the ones who say ALL athletes should get a stipend of the same amount is the literal definition of communism - the government sets the value…not the marketplace.

Did that clear it up?

No. Some people just believe in limits and a level playing field. Nothing to do with politics.

Blue bloods have ignored the rules for decades and paid players under the table. You be willing to kick them out? It goes both ways.

It’s a new era.

NIL IS the level playing field…thats why the old guard is freaking out.

Texas Tech, Vanderbilt, Indiana, etc…are not your powers of yesterday but they found a way.

Even Houston is a NIL darling in basketball + football

It’s got nothing to do with politics.

Its Economic theory.

One end of the spectrum is…Free Market Capitalism…the other end is heavily regulated communistic type interference to dictate the value and make them equal.

You believe that blue bloods will no longer cheat with this agreement?

In absolutes, maybe but it has ZERO to do with sports.

It would be harder to do so.

This honestly seems like when large corporations call for regulation because they can afford to take hits smaller startups can’t. It creates a barrier to entry and allows the big guys to maintain their position in the market.

I never trust when large organizations call for more regulation. Like Facebook and Google calling for more regulation in tech or whatever.

This is exactly what the ncaa rules were supposed to do…until we found out the hard way the ncaa was in uta’s back pockets. Nothing in this agreement stops the blue bloods from cheating like they always have.
Why because they control this agreement again.
Why do they control this agreement?

Who do you think did this?
The blue bloods do not want a teetech alum spending big. It goes against their monopoly. That is exactly why this agreement was put together…by them.
