Have not beaten anyone of note, but have shut out all 5 teams (20-0 combined). Don’t have any real challenges before conference play and should go into that 9-0.
We will see whats what when Utah and BYU come to get their eyeballs burned out by our neon red courts at the end of the month, but I would expect a huge improvement from our 1-12 conference record last year and tennis is definitely headed in the right direction.
After looking at some of the other teams, I’m going to call my shot and say we will have a winning conference record this year and be in position to make NCAAs for the first time in over 10 years.
The NCAA Tennis has their own metrics(stats, computes) figures. I think it was the NCAA maybe it was somewhere else. You could could google it. I found it I’m sure you can.
I think I broke Google trying to find this and it was nowhere to be found. According to the ITA, the first top 75 ranking comes out tomorrow. Considering we are undefeated (9-0 now!), 69 is way too low. We should be top 50.
I do agree with the poster above who says Big 12 is all that matters but like I said, we are going to surprise some people.
Undefeated with those big wins we should be in the Top 25 this week. I bet it’s been a minute since that happened. Have already broken the program record for Big 12 wins 2 matches in
Lost 3 out of our last 4, but all 4 matches were ranked teams and we beat #51 CU 4-0. Currently ranked 40 with a huge road test at #48 Kansas on Friday that might end up being a play-in for NCAAs. We should whip Iowa State on Sunday. They are terrible (2-10 overall 0-5 Big 12, lost 4-0 to Colorado).
