Texans Football

I guess the Astroworld land was too close to NRG.

basically its 3 practice fields, updated training facilities and a fieldhouse - that could be anywhere, Houston Sports Park is set up already for that

having control of the apartments, etc is the key and their banking on demographics in that area

They wanted to be far out and away from everything. To just be the Texans organization in one place.

What are the Texans doing!

Are you talking about the Howard trade?

Wait, did they trade Howard? To who and what did the Texans get in return.

Cleveland. 5th rd.

We sent Juice Scruggs, 2026 4th round pick and 2027 7th round pick for Montgomery

I hope we are clearing cap space for a top end OL free agent.

gotta pay Will and CJ soon and possibly clear space for a top end OL or two

BEAST.

Juice was always going to be a bust. Remember texting with LanceZ about him. Howard was in his last year of a contract, he got a 3 year extension from Cleveland. He is their problem now.

Hopefully they use the money on Tyler Linderbaum. Unfortunately, Caserio has always tried to cheap his way into an OLine.

Montgomery is a stud…if he has somebody to block for him.

Yeah he’s not a gamebreaker by any means. One of the slower lead backs in the league, honestly.

But he has a curious skill set. His combination of shiftiness and wiggle to go along with his raw power and balance makes him a really good bad blocker back too. He’s a weird cat.

His style always reminds me of people trying to wrangle those saltwater crocodiles in Australia. He will find a way to thrash and fight and make something outta nothing. He’s not an Arian Foster or someone like that who is more of a system zone runner who needs things to be working cleanly to be successful.

He has underrated playmaking ability, it’s just going to be in a phone booth and in a ball control move the chains context. He can help you in the passing game too, he’s got good hands and can make people miss in space. He’s actually sneaky elusive and athletic, just lacks straight speed. That’s really the only knock on him. Not a homerun hitter at all. Linebackers and all secondary players can run him down from behind fairly easily.

Also fun fact/insider info to watch for with Montgomery. He was a HS QB and really good at the HB pass. He’s right handed, but he can really ONLY carry the ball in his left hand.

He rarely fumbles tho, really good ball security. He likes to carry the ball in his left hand because that leaves his strong right arm free to keep guys off his powerful and flexible lower half. This helps him step thru arm tackles with ease.

Really good balance and wiggle for a power back. I can’t stress that enough. He’s really more of an Athlete and a general football player than he is a true running back. He’s actually pretty unorthodox which has always helped him be successful.

Never mind, Tank Dell’s contract is through the 2026 season.

Thank heavens the Texans are revamping their OL. It can’t come soon enough.

That was a hell of a ranch. He used to host rush parties for us. I caught some of the largest bass in my life out there.

Probably the only reason I liked him.

He had his own Buffalos too

Must be a Sigma Chi.
