Yes it does. The whole gen scene has come impossible . They are in the driver seat and charge what they want .
Texas needs to plugged into the national grid to assist and receive assistance however
the need may be.
Texas needs more reliable power generation, like we used to have.
âTexas Wind Power Is Failing Right When the State Needs It Most - Bloombergâ Bloomberg - Are you a robot?
Remember Feb 2021. Natural gas froze up and nuclear went offline.
Coal is not coming back. Grid needs to built out with backupâŠ
Need more gas/ coal backup to support wind/solar
Gas yes, coal no.Backup Grid Battery storage or pressure yes
One party and their interest groups have had total control of state government for 20+ years. Unbundling, isolated grid, retail middlemen, market pricing, mix of renewables, etc., is what we got from the officeholders and their appointed regulators we got.
Want different? Change the bosses.
They all resigned after the freeze
And who appoints the new ones? Who appointed the out-of-state members who resigned? Beto? Asking for a friend.
Look, politicians want credit when things go right. ERCOT is Abbottâs albatross. Not gonna risk getting banned by stating why these folks get elected and re-elected.
Need a comprehensive plan that utilizes a diverse portfolio of energy sources: gas, solar (with residential roof top), wind, nuclear (if cost effective), battery energy storage. Grid ties to neighboring generation & grids for backup. All this with an eye toward conservation, efficiency and ongoing reduction of CO2 emissions.
And ditch the middle men, unnecessary extra layer of distribution. Itâs a failed experiment in Texas that has cost citizens over 30 billion extra.

From the article I posted
and the pace of our grid transformation is a bit out of sync with the underlying realities and the physics of the system.â Put another way, too many on-demand power plants have retired relative to the capabilities of the grid we have today
This applies to Texans FB tooâŠ

Have you ever met secondandtwelve. Just wondering.
Beto would paint all the windmills pink. That would be his solution.
