We’ve had a few North Shore and DeSoto players over the years but I don’t think we’ve ever had a kid from CE King or Duncanville tho.

C.E. King and North Shore are only about 8 miles apart. Hope they both win.

Edit: Duncanville and Desoto are only 7 miles apart. Hope they both lose.

Chase Calicut is no longer on NS team after the shooting incident last year. He hasn’t played for them all season.

My bad. I reviewed the 247 and Rivals lists to get names of playmakers and he was still listed under North Shore.

Keon Banks was from CE King he played LB for the coogs not sure how long but 1994 season for sure

Looks like 94-97

CE King was always overshadowed by North Forest ISD and North Shore for the most part so they never had big runs

But once they moved to the Beltway with the fancy facility they slowly began to chip away and finally kicked the door in - their in between summer creek and north shore in a high growth area - ain’t hard to win out there if done right as talent will find their way to your doorstep when when you have something to offer

Duncanville has several 4 stars that have signed NLIs with Mississippi and Florida. Both schools had head coaching changes, which would allow signees to withdraw their NLI. No scuttlebutt that the Duncanville players are withdrawing their commitment, but something to keep an eye on. UH offered DEs Landon Barnes and K.J. Ford and CB Victor Lincoln. If they withdraw, they will have a lot of high profile schools interested.

Another local high school will be playing for the State Championship tomorrow. The Richmond Randle Lions (15-0) will face Dallas South Oak Cliff Bears (14-1) for the State 5A, Division II Championship, 12/20/25, 11:00 AM, AT&T Stadium.

South Oak Cliff is led by QB Jayden “Dunnie” Williams, and has a two headed running attack with RBs Mikail Trotter and Levon Morton. South Oak Cliff has two bookend OTs, 4 star Jr. Brian Swanson and Cortavious Tisaby (Arizona St. signee). Williams has reliable WRs Torrin Teague and Jaylen Moore, who have accounted for 1,368 yds. and 13 TDs, this season. Interesting that South Oak Cliff played the two 6A Division I finalist early in the season, beating North Shore 41-31 in the first game of the season, and losing to Duncanville 35-28 in week 2.

Randle is led by QB Tyler Skrabanek who threw for more than 3,200 yards and 29 touchdowns to a talented group of receivers led by Ashton Johnson. The focal point of the offense is all everything, Texas Gatorade Player of the Year, Jr. RB Landen Williams Callis, who ran for over 3,500 yards and 59 TDs. The Randle defense is led by LB Noriel Dominguez (TCU signee), who leads the unit with 103 tackles.

Another great high school matchup with two successful football programs. Good luck.

Final Score: Dallas South Oak Cliff 35 Richmond Randle 19

They got that running game going in the playoffs.

They did get move ins from Marlin and Wimberly I was told.

The freshman and sophomore brothers may help get them a couple more.

The crazy thing about Yoakum this year is that they basically scrapped their offense a few weeks ago and went straight wildcat, generally running just a couple of different formations.
