I only brought it up to point out 91 is just taking shots in the dark why Tuberville wasn’t a success at Texas Tech. Obviously “dwindling attendance” or his pseudo air raid offense had nothing to do with it.
The fans were going to the games. They were just leaving in the second quarter because they were disgusted.
I’m sure the economy affected donations, but it’s now what turned people away from the program.
I have a lot of friends and family who are and were very involved in the program, so I don’t really have to guess about why Tuberville was about to get fired or look for statistics.
Anyway, I don’t believe getting away from a prolific offense is what drove the decision - they hired a coach who has put together a solid staff, won some games and graduated players, without much drama. It’ll be interesting to see how it goes.
Stadium expansion in 2010?
Yes. The attendance list wasn’t meant to say Tuberville improved attendance. It was meant to show there wasn’t the “dwindling attendance” as stated before. Once again, the whole reason Tuberville was brought up was supposedly the last time Texas Tech went away from the air raid it was a “colossal failure.” The replies are just about proving it had nothing to do with the offense and that the use of “colossal” is silly.
Lol
Wells may be great, but feels like a very underwhelming hire. I feel bad for the Raiders.
Agreed. One good season doesn’t make you a good coach.
Saw last night watching Katy vs NS that a few North Shore defensive stars were committed to Tech wonder if we can flip some.
Hopefully we are already sitting down with their parents.
Yeah. Brown was a really obvious choice. Moreso than Littrell even.
Matt Wells with a play out of the Tom Herman playbook. Of course…Utah State ended up winning the game anyway.

Didn’t hurt them at all they blew North Texas out.
