Just depends on what they want to do. The AAC has fewer teams so only 2 programs we don’t play home and home, believe we have played SMU every year twice. USF and ECU are the two we don’t play twice this year. It was Tulsa/ECU last year, Temple/Memphis before that.
Makes sense to give us 2-3 permanent rivals for basketball but they could just do the one and everything else is random.
I agree. It doesn’t seem imperitive that we play Baylor and Tech with the same frequency as Iowa State or WVU. I’m perfectly fine with UCF as one of three regulars.
UH and UCF on thanksgiving? In a league where the commissioner can barely remember our name, we would be featured on thanksgiving? Which by the way, I would hate to have UCF as a football rival. We never seem to beat them, nor BYU.
We wanted to be in the Big 12 for so long, under any circumstance, and now we are getting pissy because they paired us with them as the most logical companion for UCF?
Because they aren’t our rival. How many people do you work with that went to UCF? How many friends? How many parents of your kids friends went there? Rivalries are fun when you know people from the opposing side, get to talk friendly trash and mix it up on a regular basis. I’ve come across one UCF grad in my entire life and he was a doosh.
