If you had told me the Coogs would have a 12 point lead in the second half of this game, I’d say the Coogs finally did it! I also think we’re having a different conversation if Eman pump fakes Clayton as he’s done many times. Oh well, what could’ve been.

Was it in the second half? I thought it was in the first half and then they cut it down to three at halftime.
I think it the lead was as high as 8 in the first half but cut down to 3 as the 1st half ended.
In the 2nd half, we led by as many as 12 (at around the 15min left mark).

I bolded the Officiating comment. because they made Tugler sit 10 minutes of the first half and then had Tgs AND Francis sti 7 minutes or more of the second half AT THE SAME TIME! Forcing us to lay small ball all while calling nearly zero fouls on them int he last 17 minutes of the game. They literally had to pull down a player or cuss at the refs personally to get a foul called.
There’s a reason the national press also has pointed out the bad officiating.

Maybe. If it was bias we could win. If it was INTENTIONAL. We could not.

We should have been up 13 at half but refs missed a goal tending, if they still make the 3 at the end, we are up 10. That was the difference in the game, 2 points. Add the 23 fouls called in second half, to foul out our best defender, get Florida to the line, 7+ more times than UH with no time off the clock. Their best player had ZERO points after 30 minutes of play. Did we miss shots, yes. Did we deserve to lose, yes. Was it a fair game, no.

Amazing how it landed right at the Vegas line…
That’s why I don’t bet on NFL anymore… refs just have too much impact on those games and I feel like they impacted this game as well…
That’s why betting baseball is the best… if you just look specifically at the stats, and don’t bet with your heart, then you can make some $ betting baseball.

Except J’Wan typically was able to get us 10-14 in other games this season where we didn’t shoot as well…
He also was off in the natty…
I’ll have to verify but I’m pretty sure this was the only game this season with only one player scoring 10+.

The turning point for me was when Florida started to play dirty. We did not respond. Our bigs got “rattled”. Momentum is a fragile thing. I am always against violence.
When Florida on purpose elbows you in the head.
When Florida on purpose goes WWF on you.
You have to respond one way or another. We did not.
In hindsight Sampson should have pulled a Remember The Titans on that ref under the basket for Florida in the second half. “You call this game fair or I’ll go to the papers”. Although I’m sure he would have got a technical foul lol

Nothing was working for Florida. They got together and decided to rattle us. This was a clear coaching staff decision. Like it or not it worked. It works when the refs do not do their job. This is when the referee goes to the team’s bench and has a talk with the head coach. That to me is sorely needed in Basketball.
I will never blame the refs for our loss. We lost the game ourselves. Not me but the stats say it.
Instant replay? What kind of bs rules are in place when you can’t review certain plays. It is idiotic. Then why have instant replay?
Yes. The biased refs never called flagarent fouls on any of the elbowing and hits to faces
