The Offensive Line

Best in the Big12?

…and…

Ready to see Wiggy pick this conference apart with plenty of time in the pocket this season!

I’d also like to see us be able to hand the ball off IN BETWEEN the tackles and chew up time and yards!

Yeah, the good news is, the Coogs have a stable of very good backs and receivers too…

I’m getting bored with threads about Sorsby and Rich Philanthropists…

July will be a good month to discuss Media Days and dive into position groups.

By August. we can start talking about the 2-Deep Roster…

You know…. stuff that actually matters…

The “potential” is there for 2026 to surpass 2025…

Yup… the dog days are ALWAYS slow around here…

Opponent can’t score without the :football:

I’m old school as far as liking time of possession.

Anyone paying attention would see how adept at clock management the coach is and how adept at extending plays as our qb is (maybe not Ward /Keenum adept but definitely above average) would see a match made in heaven, possibly.

Same thing happens to a college softball website that I frequent during their off season. They really scrape bottom there for 6 months of the year. One thing different here, is there are other great UH sports to keep us occupied, like the recent NBA draft period. FWIW, The Big 12 is a much more attractive animal than where we were just 5 years ago.

Yeah. It is what it is…

But It don’t have to like it.

Reminds me of what my Father told me…

….”if you don’t have anything good to say, don’t say anything at all”…

In this case…

If you don’t have anything “interesting” to say, consider saying…. nothing.

This, coming from a guy who, admittedly, has an opinion on almost everything.

LOL

So…

…about the o-line…?

Bookmark: There’s going to be massive panic here early in the season because the OL isn’t a finished product yet.

If they have it together by Tech, I’ll be impressed.

Cautiously optimistic. O-line is a position group that rewards working together and trusting the guys alongside you. It would be nice if the new guys can hit the ground running and come together in time for Tech on Week 3. We’ll see. The articles don’t really talk about pass blocking vs. run blocking. Hopefully we can excel at both, but this is not the same skillset.

I agree with the “we’ll have to wait and see” approach, however, the talent level is light-years better than 2 years ago…

Pass Pro is a MUST, but there’s nothing more encouraging than seeing an o-line knock the defense 2-3 yards off the ball and having a dominant RB repeatedly get 1st downs…

The big 12 pod with Ari Temkin ranked the top position groups in the conference and both hosts had Cincy in their top 5. BYU OL mentioned as well

If they are ready to go for Tech Houston can win that game. The front 7 for tech is just so good.

Probably their strength on defense right? A 150 yard rushing day in that game will be outstanding, breaking 100 (with a win) we’ll take it. It will not be easy.

It certainly was last year.

In that video I linked one of them had the Tech LBs at one, iirc.

Yeah, in all the big 12 media I consume it seems people either really like Houston, or seem not to be aware of Houston. These guys rarely talk up Houston.

I’m more interested in how they rank them at the end of the season.

They’ll be eating Crow, IMO…

I think the winner of the Tech Houston game is in Arlington.
