(NR=Not Ranked) I do realize some of these kids may not have had the grades to play at a different school or are bounce backs. However an FCS school in the SWAC with Deion at the helm has brought in far more highly touted recruits. 2021 they took home the 247 #2 ranked player( De’jahn Warren Juco CB) and 2022 they took home 247 #1(Travis Hunter CB HS). an FCS school. Very impressive to say the least. He can bring in the recruits, the NIL, the culture, only question is… will he be available after next season? can dana win out on a weak schedule and can he make an impression on Big 12 competition…weekly. he failed the last 2 weeks. Reality he’s staying put unless we are .500 and get absolutely man handled in the big 12. New contract means buyout has to be large and he’s deep in the Tillman checkbook. until then we ride or die.
I think he would definitely re-energize the fan base and recruit well. It’s a long shot but I’m on board with it!

I’ll say this about a Sanders hire it could end up. Like the Drexler hire ( a splash hire), or the Gundy hire a former CFB player in Prime case NFL player, who really is a great Coach, just needed a chance to show it at a higher level. . I’m leaning towards the latter

@BIgCatonProwl total boom or bust. considering how we are without a 23 starting qb. Do we bring in prime with his sons. or give dana a shot(more than likely) and bring in the Card kid from UT Who will have to compete with Ewers and Arch Manning? the kid looks like a Tune and may have earned him a roster spot playing against Bama on one leg.

If we have an opening I’d definitely favor pursuing him rigorously even as a potential stop-over. Maybe we can get him to bring in an heir apparent.
Regarding QBs, are we hearing negative things about Coley’s development?

Deion wouldn’t be a good hire football wise. He is good at creating hype and attracting attention but he isn’t going to get us where we want to be.
We need to find another Tom Herman type. We have a much better chance of keeping such a coach long term.
