The Sloth Offense

I forgot which COOG started this but yesterday it looked like the “Sloth Offense” was back in force. No creativity, no misdirection, nothing unusual about the offensive sets. We are back to the Sloth offense unfortunately. Now, don’t get me wrong, if the sloth offense wins 8-9 games, I’m all in. I’ll wear a sloth suit even. Honestly.

There is no reason for the offense to be so vanilla. Even FSU is now running two-back sets and a lot of misdirection, and just look at the beatdown they put on LSU this evening.

Offense looked vanilla and a step slow in every way. Not gonna cut it in B12 play.

Norvell is a pretty good coach.

I was glad to see us running some motion pre snap. Hopefully this is a hint that more innovation is on the way.

My hopes is that more creativity is on its way. Since Dana has been here, it’s taken the team a few games to get into rhythm.

That plain vanilla offense resulted in zero turnovers. I agree it lacked creativity but keep it simple, don’t take any chances, don’t throw the ball to the other color or put the ball on the carpet.

Let’s give CDH and the team their due on this one.

Isn’t this thread just a regurgitation of the Donovan Smith thread?

Very much agreed :clap:t4:

I thought Dawson was the issue but apparently not, new OC same crap, it’s definitely Dana , I wish he would open it up maybe he will as season goes on

I thought Dana didn’t replace Dawson and was doing all the OC himself. Is he not calling plays?

There is no OC. Only Dana.

That was an incredible performance. The entire time I thought about how bad we’d look against that team😂

This needs to be on some poster in the stadium somewhere or on College Gameday. lol

I could be wrong but I saw a tweet that Dana is not calling plays. I think it’s the QB coach and he’s calling it from the press box.

Again, I could be wrong.

Did we lose the game ?

We’re just getting ready for when we enter the Big 10.

The score says different but reading some of the comments, yes we lost.

That’s not what’s important when happiness is only found when being bitter and feeling entitled to style points.

The more I read these negative comments the more I realize that these folks were all expecting us to lose and then really pile on CDH. Since we won, now they are busy nitpicking the offense. Sad life.
