I do remember. When Phillips said before the game that Pastorini and Campbell wouldn’t play I thought he was joking. Monster defense that day. One of my favorite Oiler games of all time. I had a little pop-up black and white TV and I was watching from Narrows Lake. My battery was running down and by the end of the game the picture was about 1”x1” diameter.

That’s a demon excised. The Texans beat the Oilers, at the Oilers new town, in the Oilers colors, and the Oilers lost in typical Oilers fashion. Almost feels like the Oilers are finally well and truly dead.

Also, Case is still fuggin awesome

The title reminds me I wish someone would introduce a bill that prohibits team owners from taking the team mascot along with them. When Butt Adams left Houston so Nashville could build him a bigger sandbox, the Oilers name would remain intact.

Want a better example? The Utah Jazz. When someone says “Utah,” is “jazz” really the first thing that pops in your head? Second thing? Third? EVER?!
