This week's Tulsa game will answer many questions

I don’t care if Tulsa has a poor record at this point - they have played a couple of high level teams very tough.

They have a competitive defense and a functional offense that has scored on some good opposition.

If we beat Tulsa on the road this Friday, I will consider it as Holgorsen making progress.

If we lose this game, I will consider the Holgorsen experiment as just treading water and continuing to waste time and money.

I agree. I would extend this to the next two weeks though. @Tulsa and @Tulane. Go 2-0 and I will start to believe we are making progress, 1-1 and we are treading water, 0-2 and I honestly don’t see how RK and Pez can keep him for year 4 as that puts us at a likely 7-5 which would be abysmal with this schedule. Likely 7-6 once we get throttled in a bowl game. His job might come down to a bowl win to give us some confidence in him to close out along with a better looking record. Otherwise we would still NOT have a win against a team with a pulse in years of DH as HC.

Our defense matches up very well with Tulsa. We just need a couple of plays by #8

but tulsa defense is better than techs…
tulsa so far this season has been horrendous on offense but has shown respectable defense in every game

We have a defense capable of winning games so will not shock me to beat tulsa and Tulane. Neither are anything that good. We just need the offense to not lose the game. So far offense has lost us one game and had us down 10 in one of the most embarrassing halfs I can remember.

Their QB is a lot like Tune. He will basically averages a turnover a game. Will be one of those tuff ugly gritty games. Will come down to turnovers and penalties who will win that game

If we can beat Tulsa by double digits to go 4-1 and Tune can have a 250 yd 2td 0 interception game I’ll consider it progress.

our defense doesn’t look to be an issue

It doesn’t have to be by double digits.

If we beat Tulsa by one point, I’ll consider it progress.

Tulsa is a very tough out.

A win virtually guarantees a bowl, so yah even if its by a point id consider it progress

Tulsa plays us like it’s their SB. They have never forgotten that beat down where Houston put 100 pt on them. 100-6. There always up for us. We better be ready.

We are not going to change coaches if he goes 7-5. Too much money to make a change and besides this is not a real third year. His first year he had to redshirt a third of the roster because the previous regime redshirted hardly anyone. Last year was a cluster vivid year and does not count. He will get two full years after this no matter what. Besides no coach with a winning season should be fired.

Covid year-

Only the Tulsa Alums from the 60s & maybe few from 70s remember the beat down in 1968.

Really?

This betting Line should be highly motivating for our Team.

Sometimes you have to learn how to win.

The run and shoot years got off to a slow start until they beat a very average Texas team. Then it just clicked.

Tune’s TD pass could have been that kind of moment,

Coogs will be fine. This is a veteran P5 coaching staff

I think the only way for Coogfans to be happy is if we forget everything we know about our opponents
