I got the email last night for $10 Rice tickets and immediately tried to buy two. No matter what i did, i got a credit card address error. I used two different cards, I even created a new account, nothing worked. Called the ticket office, they were already closed and said they would open at 9 am. I called right at 9 am. I’m still on hold 30 minutes later. This is completely unacceptable.
Speaking with someone now who is totally clueless. This is maddening. They have no explination for the glitch and can’t even see the $10 tickets. I got an email from the ticket office. How is the ticket office so screwed up? They had no issues charging the basketball season tickets to my card.
And they cannot access the $10 deal from the office.
I am able to get to the credit card payment window but don’t want to test it out. I guess that’s where you had an issue. Can you add another credit card if you have one?
I know I cannot be the only issue. Row 3 has been available since I got the email yesterday. I would have thought someone would have grabbed a 200 level seat for $10 between now and then.
Finally talked to someone competent and I now have two tickets after 56 minutes. What a waste of my time. Still no explination or offer to correct the issue. Just said “website glitch” and hopefully it works next time I try and buy tix.
On behalf of all of us, this is an issue that absolutely needs the attention of AD Eddie Nunez. I would detail all your facts: date, time, length on hold, credit card attempts, inept staff and the overall frustration in the process.
I’m sure Nunez knows the Ticket Office is a problem, but putting all the frustrations in an email brings to life all the problems. This is now on Nunez’s watch and he is charged with fixing it.
The first person I spoke with kept telling me I was trying to order from Seatgeek. I had to be very stern in order to talk to someone else who actually helped. I assume these are returned Rice seats. The first person told me the only 200 level tickets available were $25 each.
Looks legit. I haven’t seen it, so just curious if it may be a phish email and if you followed the link in the email to put in your CC info. But if you went through the website that shouldn’t be an issue.
