People find their way to campus on a Tuesday night against a no-name opponent even though there’s plenty to do in Houston, work/school tomorrow, etc. Winning is the answer but I had to cover all of the excuses on the football forum.
Don’t forget minorities. They don’t come to sporting events at UH, according to some posters.
Oh yeah, forgot about that one! Even though me and several others in this board are minorities lol.
Those hijabis at the games are some of our most rabid fans but some of these folks are still stuck in the 1960s and don’t interact with others.
Dana texted me.
Too much traffic to make it.
Hahahaha thats a good one
But did they stand the entire time and go crazy? That’s the new measuring stick.
so funny I sit on the side you are photographing and look and they grey seats……I never get the same impression of the fullness that you get from your seat….I wish those fat cats would actually get their guts in the seats
Here’s some debunking for those freaking idiots
OMG! Where did all of those minorities come from? Well gosh diddly darn!
Student section showed out!
Get… your… season… tickets… for… next… years… Big XII… run… NOW (well, whenever they become available but you know what i mean).

As a minority, can anyone tell me why minorities are all of a sudden being called out on Coogfans?
I think some were saying that the diverse international population of the UH student body impacts attendance to mostly American sports like football.
Yep basically saying we need more white students is what I interpreted
Some people were saying our football attendance sucked because the school is too diverse.
Bc of ignorance and people just want to be negative. This proves a winning product will sell out like lousisville in fb.
It’s not just winning, it’s the culture…it must be built and then winning will be the outcome but fandom will continue to follow a “winning culture” even when it has down seasons.
UH basketball has built a great culture and a game identity, you know what to expect, the product you will see on the floor nightly. The hustle factor, the effort, the commitment, even when things don’t go well offensively they are still fun to watch…
last night the loudest cheers were for some of the steals and attempted steals, guys going to the floor in tie ups, people will come out to see that…
a national championship will help solidify this as a winning culture and hopefully increase the fan following …
next year the big12 membership will have an increase in fandom.
since fertitta center is not getting any larger, I expect ticket prices will get bigger…that’s literally the price you pay for success….demand should far exceed supply.
Wasn’t long ago that a game against North Florida would have drawn 100 people, maybe.
The politics board showed people what they can get away with on here, and the owner of the site only removes posts and suspends users (including yours truly) who push back on them.
