I think the poster said that before the 76 season the team got t-shirts that said Think Cotton thats where the phrase came from originally.

It was Briles who was on the cusp of leaving for Baylor.
Back in the '70’s the size of a school’s weight room was a big deal. No surprise, ours was tiny. When asked about this CBY said, ‘our weights weigh the same as everyone else’s.’
