How about compensation to universities ?
Basically every guy who is searching for the 5th year has entered the portal⊠Iâm assuming thereâs some type of stipulation where if you arenât in the portal youâre not eligible. For example, Zeke Mayo (Kansas) & Julian Reese (Maryland) have both entered the portal, but itâs been reported that theyâll both return to their schools, entering the portal only makes them eligible to return if 5th year is granted.

Wes Miller Made me disappear from caring about College Basketball for a bit. I Sold my remaining season tickets and just let the season die.
That said, I also coach basketball the past 2 seasons so its a lot tougher to go to games, comment and go deep into stats like I used to.
I know this⊠As Iâve developed my girls in basketball, I think, what would Kelvin Sampson do more than any other coach. We didnât have a bunch of scoring talent but we made practice a war for the basketball and focused on Defense, rebounding and intensity. We had 1 good scorer and still rode that to the championship games after a rough start to the season. There is no coach I would want to be more like than Kelvin Sampson

I think the issue with Nico was he was a five star recruit the 2nd quarterback in his class behind Arch he was expected to be a star and his contract reflected it. He walked away from 2.5 million because he wanted 4 million. I look at this more like if the Jags make the playoffs this year and Trevor Lawrence who makes $55 million demands a raise to $88 million before the playoff game and threatens to sit out. Of course most of this is just reported rumors.
I think a lot of the issues is the NIL deals have no teeth.

Nope. That would be Pesik. LAW doesnât do the heavy analysis for Basketball. At least he knows his lane w that part.

Agreed here.
Paying players is a massive problem but itâs not the playersâ fault unless itâs a Nico situation (assuming he made a deal for all 4 years).
