Transfer Portal 2025

Likely Cenac

Holt and County are the two I am keeping close eyes on. I also like where we are with Afran Diane. Everyone else is just too new. With Christian Collins, Cameron Williams, Ethan Taylor.

True

So with Cenac
Tugler
Sahko

We must sign bigs.

Depending on playing time this season, these guys could all think of transferring:

*Mercy Miller

*Kordel Jefferson

*Jacob McFarland

We will have a lot to fill next year.

Flemings/County
Holt/Mercy
Harwell/McCarty
McFarland/Duncan
Diane/Taylor

Will have a lot of freshmen and sophomores in this lineup.

I think we absolutely need to hit the portal for 1 impact big. I can see us bringing 3 high school bigs in.

If Flemings has a great year and goes to the NBA, Ikenna Alozie becomes realistic. Think we need to hit the portal if Harwell leaves after this year.

Cameron Williams and Christian Collins are just too new. But we could be real players there, too. Depending on what McFarland does, would take either one.

Right now, I’m working under the assumption Flemings is back. And think we could see a summertime commitment out of Junior County or Mason Magee.

Ideally if Mercy came back for a 3rd yr. He would be a starter.

Mccarty, same thing. 3rd yr in the program, still coming off the bench?

Harwell seems like a 1 & done to me.

Not if you’re getting Caleb Holt. Unless Harwell leaves. And then you could go

Flemings
Mercy
Holt
McFarland
Diane

Would be a nice starting 5, too. And this means Mercy took a jump as a sophomore.

That is good news. Diane is 7’1" 280 lbs. Last time UH had someone that large was Adrian Taylor. Adrian was 7’2", 340 lbs.

Anyone remember the game UH played at Hofheinz Pavillion against Memphis back in the CUSA days. A Memphis guard tried to dribble through Taylor. The guard went splat on the court. It was slapstick comedy at its best.

Just me, but it just seems silly/unneccessary to even “talk/type” about players potentially transferring out on June 1. Yet your next post mentions Mercy starting his Jr. season?

So why would Mercy leave knowing the culture/winning/development is right here where he’d be in line to start? (asking you to answer that based on YOUR two back-to-back posts)

Make is make sense. Or just wanting to feed continual dialogue and convo on here?

Anyone have footage of that?

That’s a gif just waiting to happen

Add Mason McGee to Holt and County.

Great chance he commits, he really likes Houston, I honestly think he could commit first in the 2026 class

I can’t see that playing out unless you think County is a combo guard.

I’m assuming McGee commits first and from there it’s fair game. County likes Houston but I’m not sure if he would commit with Harwell likely leaving after 1 year. Holt to me is more 50/50. Great info you had on the 7’1 big man. Him and McGee would be great additions and Holt is my high hopes commit like Cenac in the 2025 class

@bjjackson1988 haha, well let me explain.

One, i didn’t start the conversation about the 2026-27 roster. That was 1981Coog & Joprior23.

Of course its too early to speculate about next offseason. I could’ve worded this better:

I do think its a big yr for Mercy. Is he gonna take that year 2 jump? Hopefully

I never want players to leave. Im hoping Kordel & McFarland can see decent minutes this yr

Coach made it abundantly clear on Thursday, “we’re done at 14, not adding any more.”

Kelvin said on the Zoom last week that he has a player that is close to committing.

My guess is Reece Alston or Mason Magee. Caleb Holt said he isn’t committing till December and haven’t heard much of Junior County or Arafan Diane since Sampson went up to visit

How about that kid from Utah Prep ?

Anthony Felesi? Is he lean BYU right now?
