With the way Wood rotated and if Armstrong does the same, there are plenty of opportunities to get film and stats.
This is true….and if you are putting good stuff on film weekly then you’re gonna work your way into the starting lineup.

Jyaire Brown to UCF.
Not surprising. He visited there last weekend. Wanted Houston. We weren’t sold on him. Same thing that happened with a couple of guys this cycle that really wanted Houston, mainly Pettaway.

File this under it is unlikely to happen but it is sure fun to think about. The Transfer Portal closed 12/28/24, but it can open up for 30 days if a coach leaves the program. It also opens for 5 days if a team is playing in the CFP.
If Ohio St. gets blown out by Oregon, Ryan Day may decide, voluntarily or involuntarily, to move on. The best player Ohio St. has from the Houston area is 5 
Donovan Jackson, 6’4", 320 lbs, IOL, from Episcopal HS in Bellaire. UH offered, along with every other blue blood. If Jackson wanted to come home, I believe UH could find a spot for him. Correction: Jackson is a senior and out of eligibility. Also, 5 Cornerback from North Shore Devin Sanchez committed to Ohio St. Maybe a coaching change at Ohio St. will have him reconsider.
Keep an eye on transfers from teams in the CFP. There may be some gems that have not declared that UH may be an option for.

There are a few that I am monitoring. There is one that would be a real option if he enters. And it is likely that he will. Neither of the ones you mentioned would happen. Even if Day was no longer leading Ohio State.
