The fact that all of the top transfer portal teams are P4s tells me that the gap with the G6 is widening, with the G6 and FCS now serving as farm systems for the P4.
The guy who wrote the article is a t-shirt OU fan who also writes for OUInsider. He graduated from Rogers State University in northeastern OK. He was an assistant HS football coach for one season and a service technician at a gas station from 2019-2023. Nothing wrong with any of that but I’m not expecting hard-hitting or well researched articles from him either.
From Duke… doubtful he gets that $.
I don’t buy it… UNLV/FSU NIL vibes…
Yurachek transfers to app state
Since I’ve been tracking the B12 portal signings, I’ve been seeing On3 ratings for B12 OL signings taking big hits in their ratings. When there used to be quite a few B12 signings in the top 20, now there are a bunch of SEC schools signings with a few BIG while B12 signees have taken 1-5 point hits.(More on the IOL side vs the OT side)
Almost like these sites are doing this for money.
SEC schools → tend to have bigger online followings → Meaning more people are willing to access and pay for these sites → Meaning if they give better ratings to the SEC recruits/transfers then they’ll get more attention.
I’m sure there’s some validity in the rankings, but there has to be some skewing somewhere.
Kid is back from a 2 year mission…He will be bigger, stronger older version of himself a couple of years ago. There is a reason BYU is so good every flippin’ year. THIS Mormon athlete will be playing for Houston.
There clearly is. Internet recruiting sites are not unbiased government agencies like the Bureau of Labor Statistics or what have you. They are in it to make $$$ more than they are to rank objectively just like Humana and Cigna are more about the almighty dollar than good healthcare outcomes for their customers.
Might be a real long shot…. but TAMU WR Noah Thomas from Clear Springs just entered the portal
Thomas was productive at A&M and at 6’6”, 200 lbs., he will have choices. I wonder if A&M signing Micah Hudson had any impact on his decision.
It would be great if he followed his QB to UH.
He’s the type of BOOM that would raise expectations in football. Why not UH ? He’ll be WR 1 here.
So. Alex Bauman looking less and less likely by the day. Visiting Miami tomorrow, but can definitely see a reunion with Mensah at Duke.
Donovan Green is absolutely interested in being a Cougar. Again, up to the staff on if they will extend an offer. Lack of production due to injury could scare them away.
We’ll see if Tyshawn Wyatt ever makes it to campus.
Injury must have been near career ending if he went from Freshman stand out at A&M to potentially non offer-able for Houston
I think Wyatt wants Indiana but that is just a feeling.
Any thoughts on if we have a chance with Noah Thomas?
Interesting possibilities:
Very doubtful
