What about Hughes?

That one is even more unlikely than Thomas

I was really hoping the staff could land at least one more DL/DE. Are there any that look promising for UH?

I can’t write for others but confidential information become public when prospect becomes 90%+. That is my guess.

There was a running back from Penn (Ivy League) that tweeted that he had a UH offer.

Anything on him?

BOOGER.

Seems like we contacted a bunch of RBs but either we aren’t going to go insane money wise or they seemingly aren’t cool with the rb by committee we offer.

I don’t have jo’s contacts but it looks like we contacted: Makhi Hughes, Drelyn Washington (OV), Star Thomas and Dean Connors over the last few weeks (probably more but I haven’t spent a bunch of time on rbs)

Yes. We are not in the equation. Lol

Dre Washington is the only one that has even come to campus.

We have too many solid RBs. It’s a tough sell. And I don’t really think we need to land a RB.

Sanford, Sneed, Burnette, Butler, and freshman RB are more than enough.

I’ve been telling y’all all offseason long. We haven’t gained traction on a portal RB. And it’s been almost as tough of a sell in the secondary room once Haulcy and Wilson announced they were coming back.

Weaver was on campus the same day Haulcy announced he was coming back. Lol

Agreed

My guess is we will go after fresh players during the Spring transfer period, that we are finished until then.

I think we will add at least a couple of more in this window.

I thought the window closed on 12/28?

I believe that there is some sort of exception/extension for teams that have not finished their bowl/playoff games.

His price tag is too high.

A&M folks are now saying he wasn’t that good anyway LOL

Correct. Five days after the player’s season has ended.

We have some really good backs in the stable
.i don’t blame portal backs for not wanting to come here.

Sorry, just saw @Joprior23 post
.redundant.

Missions are not an advantage or everyone would send their players out on missions.

Sure they may be more mature
but they aren’t well taken care of out there, especially when they go foreign.

I went on my mission 6’2 or so and 225 lbs. came back sicker than a dog 6 months later at 6’5” 160 lbs. I couldn’t even bench press the bar when I got home.
