Trumpp Orders Creation of the US Space Academy!

USMC exists as part of Dept of the Navy is not “military matters”, it’s United States History

No one says that the USMC isn’t a part of the Dept. of the Navy, let alone yours truly.

As I said, even the USMC officers I served with begrudgingly acknowledge that. It’s a fact that no one can dispute, and which I don’t dispute. DON’T misquote or misunderstand me in that regard.

But I can tell you that the USMC Officers that I’ve worked with and served with (and there were MANY, none were butter bars, and all were Captains and above) definitely did NOT consider themselves to be a part of the Navy, despite that.

They considered themselves to be Marines, and considered the Marine Corps to be a separate branch.

It’s the same for the Space Force.

They fall under the Department of the Air Force.

Yet despite that, they consider themselves to be a separate branch, and consider themselves to be Guardians, NOT Airmen.

Same principle at work.

Make sense?

Seems pretty straightforward to me. Not sure why it’s an issue.

It’s both. A branch of the Department of the Navy

No USMC Officer I ever met considered him/herself to be a Navy person.

They considered themselves Marines, not Navy. Doesn’t matter that they fell under the Department of the Navy

Same for Space Force. They considered themselves to be Space Force Guardians, not Air Force Airmen. Doesn’t matter that they fall under the Department of the Air Force.

You asked them all?

That’s because they were

Space force guardians  I can’t take that seriously

Read:

One day when I meet one that considers himself to be a Navy man and not a Marine, I’ll let you know.

I suspect I’ll NEVER hear that based on past experience. I could be wrong about that, but I doubt it.

If you didn’t ask them, then you don’t know what their beliefs were. They didn’t volunteer that information to you.

Now, back to the discussion.

The US Coast Guard Academy has about 40K active duty personnel. Its academy enrolls about 1,100 students.

The Space Force has about 9400 active duty personnel.

Should their academy be even smaller?

If not, then I can only assume that they will have a lot of civilian students as well.

Then you met The Marines who still believe in Santa Claus, Club

Yes.

Saying things like “stupidlawcenter” and the like ARE personal insults directed against me.

And when you insult me, I insult you back.

So if you can’t take, don’t start crap and dish it out in the first place.

China and Russia have independent space forces.

They and the USA are the only three countries that do, as far as I know.

You’ve actually written these statements within 15 minutes of each other. You don’t want to misquoted but you sure as hell don’t mind doing it to others.
No one said they would consider themselves to be “a Navy man” and not a Marine. Stop with your dumbassery

Taking war to space, how utterly stupid.
