I think his college playing days should be over. The 5 mil NIL… boosters problem when they just throw money around without due diligence. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose…pun intended.

The one time I gambled on a game has me getting calls/texts every week from Vegas. Been going on for 5 years. Glad I decided once was enough but I know a lot of people who are addicted.
My wife and go to the casino once every 5 years. I feel for people that can never satisfy their itch to win big.

Aggies are saying UT exposed this information. I think it was more than likely Cincinnati.
Cincy may have to answer for knowingly playing a guy who was gambling. I don’t know if the NCAA will take action, but the B12 should, if it’s confirmed that they knew about this last August, as has been reported.

Tech could have a rough first three games.
The presumed starter will almost certainly be ineligible.
The #2 guy isn’t expected to be available until Game 3 under the best case scenario.
There aren’t many teams out there that can be highly successful with the #3 guy at starting QB; Tech would have to have the depth from Hell to win under those conditions.

I believe that sentiment is very much in jest. The blame lies with Sorsby, and possibly, Cincinnati, for not reporting this as soon as they knew.

Once all the information comes to light I believe this will end up having been his translator betting with his money. If he is lucky they will make him play some minor league baseball as punishment.

I thought it was Llyod Jones III from Hitchcock. I actually was working the chains in a regular season game they had vs Columbus in 2024. It was an insane game. Jones called his own number and tried to run a fake punt. He tore his knee up on that play. That Rigdon kid also got hurt for Columbus that game.
They have a transfer quarterback from Tulsa and two pretty good looking redshirt freshmen who played a few games last year.
They now have $5m to spend they can just go buy another qb.
I wonder how many of comparable quality are still out there on the market!

Since there is no contract enforcement and the NCAA has been neutered by the federal courts they can just go hire someone currently on a team.

Yeah, quite possibly.
The courts thus far have found most transfer limitations to be anti-competitive, from what I understand.
Don’t know that anyone has specifically challenged the transfer portal dates though.
