Better not go there. 70% of the folks on this board have a list.

well Tulane has been largely competitive in their losses since fritz took over. Pratt will likely be in the NFL aswell.

Fritz has Won at every level he’s coached at. Even prior to this year his accomplishments were notable and his resume very good.

Tulane is hard as hell to win at and anyone comparing a record there to one at Houston is either being very obtuse or is making the case that we are just a mediocre program with limited potential like Tulane is.

One obtuse observation would also be that he would have instant success here. He builds it correctly, not instantaneously. Assuming just because we are Houston, that he would have considerably more success is just an assumption.

That record represents 3 of their 6 or so non-losing seasons this century.

Yes I would fire a coach with that performance at UH in the AAC because, and I cannot stress this enough, WE ARE NOT TULANE! It isn’t as hard to win at Houston as Tulane. Coaches who win six games at Houston don’t get power conference jobs for doing so.

I didn’t say get rid of him. I think he has two more years here.

Way to go Green Wave! Up against the PAC blue blood and down to the wire. What a thrilling ending to this year’s Cotton Bowl game.

It’s an assumption based on a lot of history. Fritz history, Tulane history, Coog history.

ETA I don’t think we should fire Holgorsen today to hire him Fritz tomorrow, but I think each are reasonable actions in their own right.

Fritz is getting some much deserved love as a coach but a lot of Coogfans are losing perspective about him.

This is Fritz’s 7th season at Tulane.

His best record prior to this year is 7-6.

In season 6 (last year), Willie won 2 games total.

I sincerely doubt Willie would’ve been at UH that long. 6 years is a long time to establish yourself and recruiting.

Takingf lessons from our recent past, we should be debating if this season was an outlier for Willie. It could be back to mediocrity next year for him.

Time will tell if he is establishing something sustainable.

congrats to tulane!! But of all the newcomers in the big 12 are they really primed to have more sucess than us??

And a dumb one.

Actually that list is getting longer.

If he went 15-21 after 3 years at UH, 99% of this board would be calling for his head, and you are disolusional if you don’t think that is true

Regardless of his overall record at Tulane, he’s rebuilt programs at every school where he’s coached. Name of schools that Holgorsen rebuilt?

He would absolutely have to do better at Houston to keep his job but there is a lot of reason to believe he would because Tulane is a terrible program with a terrible history and we are not.

Fritz has won championships at every level he’s coached at except FBS, and he just beat USC. I hope Tilman, RK and Pez were watching.
