Easily one of the best shows on television and probably one of the best characters for a series ever created.
Agree it is a good show and Oldman makes it that way, but for me the Walton Groggins’ Boyd Crowder character in Justified is the best.
Just finished Netflix’s “Adolescence”.
Probably the most brilliant piece of television in at least a decade. The technical aspects alone (every episode is shot in one take. ONE TAKE! And this is a single camera drama!) are amazing, yet the story has haunted me for days.
It’s an amazing, but hard to watch story, especially if you’re a parent.
What the Critch. On Netflix. Hilarious. Kind of a Canadian Catholic Goldbergs.
If anyone is looking for a good murder mystery with a rollercoaster full of twists and turns give "Under a Dark Sun " a try on Netflix, six episodes.
Thanks for the heads up!
Wife and I like Sullivan’s Crossing.
Is it really soapy?
Wife and I watched The Waterfront….not bad but a bit cheesy.
I watched Waterfront too. Yes a bunch of relationships but we like it.
I watched Ballard (Bosch/Bosch Legacy spin-off). I enjoyed it but I didn’t find anything particularly distinguishing about it for its genre. If it gets a second season, I would watch again but it needs a little more of something, not sure what.
Never seen Bosch but my sister has told me to watch it……is the lady ( Ballard) in Bosch?
No, she’s not. Same world though, her books are from the same author.
Ballard not all that great.
Yea, it was missing some stylistic touches that Bosch and Bosch Legacy had. I know it’s a trope but maybe some more character development of showing her starting the team would have helped, too.
So, Mr. Robot became available on Netflix, saw some recommendations for it. Finished season 1, it’s entertaining, sure there are plot holes, but still entertaining.
I really enjoyed it, very moody, very different. Keep in mind some of the plot holes are because of the unreliable narrator - as it is told from Elliot’s perspective.
Am watching “Untamed”.
Ok. Not outstanding. Great scenery. Though set in Yosemite it was filmed in British Columbia.
Might not finish it.
I finished it yesterday……was disappointed.
I thought it was going to be much better since it had Eric Bana….
I was hoping it was going to be like a movie he did a few years ago called “The Dry”.
I just started and finished Severance over the last week or two.
My wife was concerned about me yelling “no! no! no! nooooo!” at the end of the Season 2 finale. I told her to not even start it until Season 3 comes… around 2027.
I e started it twice and didn’t get past the second episode….so if I trudge on I will wind up liking it?
I know I’ve had to talk people into sticking with a show before.
