UH has runners on 1st and 2nd, two outs. We try to steal 3rd…out by a mile.
Whittingball at its finest.

I want them to win this series so bad… OSU is gonna be rough. Man even with an 8-1 lead, the coogs were never in control of this one
How at this level do guys not understand pop fly priorities?
Can’t get my mind around it.
Today was the Ole Whitt special.
Blow a huge lead and guys cant catch the ball.
Trying to steal 3d w Jones up in 8th was ____?
He struggles w a high fastball & gets them over & over.
Catcher was getting that ball quick,
Jean got rocked today. Good all year but arm getting tired.
That helps.
And the Coogs lost 11-9. They’re out of contention for the tournament and those errors are indicative of some of the miscues that cost us close games.
Season officially over mercifully

Oh, Todd!
Hopefully by next week
Whitting pulling up for that end of the season review knowing he’s safe…

…
I was expecting Whitting to be fired last year. Instead, we gave him a new three year contract.
I’m to the point that I’ll believe it when it thankfully officially happens.
Used the mostly awful in B12 pitchers.
Torrealba rocked after coming in for Solis tied.
KU up 8 -3 in 4th. Add the usual UH semi rally down big.
KU 9-6.
Most recent Scott & Holman podcast. Its at the end.
They think Whit is back regardless. Fundraiser reasons.
I think it’s pretty clear baseball just isn’t a priority. Otherwise, a change would’ve been made by now. They’re ok with mediocrity, if it’s even that.
Like I have said before, Whitting has been burned out for at least the past 3 years.’
Do the guy a favor, hire a new young and energetic head coach and give Todd a job fund raising.
I gotta give credit to the fact that the coogs got hits through the series, giant positive. I’ll probably tune into the OSU game
I’m convinced that the longer we keep Whitting, the more the overall level of interest in UH baseball will drop, and the longer it’s going to take to rebuild the program.
This was the first year I just lost interest in the program. I live near Dallas and used to watch a majority of our games on ESPN+.
That’s not what I have heard….i hope my guy is correct.

It’s college baseball and with the right hire the team/program can be back in the NCAA tournament next year.
It will take a bit for a new coach( Sean Allen)to BUILD a real program but with the right assistants and the portal the team can be good in a hurry.

100%
I can not convey how much I agree with this take.
I hope your guy is right, but think that only happens if he voluntarily steps down to another position. With one coach already gone and three more that should be, he would be the most costly to fire. As much I think it would be a long term costly mistake to keep him, I think short terms costs play a part here.
His buyout is next to nothing from what I have heard and the contract was a courtesy….just to be able to recruit.
And with all the injuries and complete lack of development….quality players will and are going elsewhere……especially pitchers.
