No other conditions are being debated.
Article seems to hint that Penders was asked to retire after an improbable tournament appearance.
I thought his contract ended last year and was given a new three year deal.

Well that is the Million $ question. .
I had him signed through this season that is ending now. Have few things to do but will try to look at it deeper later on this evening. Or maybe one of our other Posters can do some leg work for us. 
Edit: looking further it appears his contract will end in Summer of 2026. So 2 Baseball seasons left under current deal.
Hope that clears things up. Formula doesnât change , only difference is i used 3 yrs instead of 2 yrs remaining. But the 40% b4 Aug 2024 still apllies, then 33% âŠ
Edit: makes no difference really for now, bc he will be back for another Season.

Iâd say after the past few years the only fans of the baseball program are the families of the current players and maybe ten more people. If TW comes back next season theyâll lose roughly half of the additional ten people. I kid I kid (but not really).
This once incredible program is a freaking joke.

I have had season tickets for 27 of the last 30 years, and almost never missed a game up until about four years ago. Although I have season tickets this year, I have only been to five games.
I have lost all hope of us ever being good again as long as Todd is the coach. It is just hard to make myself fight the traffic to drive from the Bear Creek area to the ballpark to watch the product he is putting on the field.

Honestly, itâs bad enough that it makes me reconsider donating to Cougar Pride. If any of those donations are going to baseball, they might as well just light it on fire.

I will state MY OPINION one last time, CTW will be returning as UH Head Baseball Coach. Pls throw the darts soon after, if Iâm wrong . Hopefully we should know something soon ( within next week is my guess ) as far as official announcement.
My opinion comes from looking at current situation ( where, why, how etc) n other important criteria then just trying to make a 50/50% guess. Until then⊠we wait.
