im starting to worry that that our admin just doesnt care about baseball.
Maybe the admin just canāt afford to care right now.
I have no connections or inside knowledge about the baseball program, but my question to those of you who are more āin the knowā is this; does it appear the baseball program has any direction or plan? I just watch games, but what Iāve seen the last few years is a program that doesnāt seem to be heading on an upward trajectory at all. I know this was our first year in the Big 12, but our performance was not good, by any standard. I would just like to see us headed in a positive direction.
Unless TW is let go the program will continue to wallow in a sea of puss.
There is no plan, no visionā¦.wash, rinse, repeat.
Ill be honest the lack player development bothers me more than the losses
TW is who he is.
Heās not going to step down. Heās also not going to miraculously turn things around.
This is on Pez and itās time to make a change (and has been this way for a few yrs now). Iāve pointed this out numerous times, if Pez and the powers that be donāt care about the program then how can they expect the alums/fans and more importantly potential prospects to have any interest?
I presume if we donāt hear anything in next week or two he is coming back
Has anyone asked Pez about baseball? I met him at the Road Show but only talked about football capex projects.
The RPIās tell the story. The last four seasons: 233/78/102/108. Like Pollard said, wash, rinse, repeat. We havenāt finished in the top 50 since 2019.
Was CTH retained after 2021 due to the incoming class heād recruited? That was quite a turnaround but trending down the last couple years.
Baylorās coach just finished year two. They hope for the best but know there isnāt much NIL for baseball and tuition is high for those not getting a substantial scholarship, athletic and/or academic.
Do we have a legit shot to beat Tech next year for a shot at the conference tournament?
I still say that we need a whole new grandstand.
Also, where can I buy an official UH baseball cap?
He should have been fired last year it was fools gold they somehow finished 2nd in a terrible conference and Pez thought he deserved an extension for that mess.
Pez did the same thing with Dana.
Had about the same results.
Iād argue that football was more competitive when that extension was given, but itās kind of like comparing which turd stinks the most.
That sounds like a fun game
I read that as sinks. Works either way.
Coll had a better season than Murray, he should have been 2nd teamā¦ā¦done enough to get drafted for sure.
I agree that Coll had a better season than Murray. He should have been on the second team. However, I am not sure what position he can play at the next level. I donāt see him as a 2nd Baseman. I could be worong, though.
