UH could play basketball game in Mexico City as soon as next season

Anything is possible, so I’m not saying it CAN’T happen. I just thought that was an ambitious statement. By the way, why not make that much effort to bring in local Houston fans to TDECU? Lol

What a great question!. My only thought is that the B12 Conference will help absorb some of the marketing costs for Mexico.

But tortillas!

The burning question is: Which do you like better, corn or flour tortillas?

Myself, I like corn better. Healthier too.

Cartel NIL deals perhaps? That’s thinking outside the box. lol

I’m cool with it as long as it’s on TV and they announce every basket scored like they do a Liga MX goal.

blue corn…as for Tech, what a waste of tortillas, even if they are flour store bought tortillas

To be fair, they dry out pretty quickly up there, and that makes them better for flying than eating.

Stupid a$$ comment.

Educate yourself.

If we get a game against Kansas… Lawrence is only like 45 ish minutes from Missouri and all the dispensaries…

Look in the mirror to see the real tool !

Sick burn :fire:

I’m not the one that said we would play a game in Mexico to get “ Drug Cartel $$$$$”.

If you don’t see a problem with that, well then you’re the problem.

Forget the one game in Mexico. Make a pre season tournament there. Like they do with Hawaii and Puerto Rico or the Bahamas.

Seems like the Conference is looking for revenue beyond sponsorship and tv rights. I also like what they are doing with Rucker Park in NY which is on an older thread I believe. I wonder what else they have in store.

Not my original thought:
B12 to Mexico will have a major BYU vibe.
Nearly 1.5 million Mormons in Mexico packs any BYU game.

Do Mormons in Mexico actually follow BYU?

Again not my original thought:
A large % of them identify 100% as Mormons living in Mexico, not Mexicans who are Mormon.
A big event even for those with zero sports interest.

My thought:
Anytime you have a “warm market”, you start with it.
