My seatmate couldn’t get the scanner to recognize his ticket, either. But the person looking at the tickets scanned his QR code.

Yea, my back still hurts from having to haul the paper tickets from back in the day.
No issues getting in with my NFC tickets but I did see a few that seemed to have some trouble. It’s gonna take some learning on both the ticket taker and the fan between where the device and phone should connect. The latter mostly cause the chip location can vary based on the phone.
Coming from a ticket ops background it’d be cool to see some hardware improvements like pedestal scanners.
