If I had to take a crack at the 10-12 that Fritz’s said are definitely starting I’d go with:

Smith
Parker
Tank
Hunter
Carr
Manjack
Gant
Latrell
Adari
Cooper
Webb

Confident but not totally sure

Boogie
Holmes
Morris
Dunn
Mack

I agree with your list, but I have Batton starting over Gant. I would be happy with either tho

Thanks for sharing, great videos…

Great to see how organized and focused our practices are. Always working, always coaching…keeping our feet, keeping upright, getting prepared to win that 4th quarter. Our players are energized.

Real form tackling drills? Wow! Emphasis on fundamentals. Is this a new concept?

For good coaches no it isn’t

What a different vibe than previous guy!!

GO COOGS!!!

Being fundamentally sound is a big part of winning football. The last coach we had who emphasized fundamental soundness was Herman, and he won 22 games in 2 years. We now have another in Fritz.

So I ask the question every year, what about placekicking and punting. Who are the leaders in the clubhouse?

Who appear to be the starting dlinemen?

From GoCoogs.com Ryan does an awesome job interviewing the players
Xavier Stillman (DL): Mike Batton, he’s for sure a guy. He is extremely athletic, he’s extremely strong, he’s extremely fast, and he’s a genius on the football field. He’s the backer that you want behind you. He’s going to make the right decision, he’s going to get you set up if you need it, he’s just the guy you can always lean on. He’s a good brother on the field.

Jamal Morris (LB): Of course you know Kendre Gant. He’s been picked for a lot of awards. But two sleepers are Latreveon McCutchin and Michael Batton. Those guys are two of the fastest guys on the team. With Michael Batton being a senior, with the experience he has and the journey he had, I’m really excited for him. He’s a sleeper. Nobody really talks about him, he’s just more in the shadows, but he’s very fast, he’s very instinctual, he’s smart, and I’m just looking forward to playing with him. Michael Batton. Definitely Michael Batton.

Based on the spring game, McCutchin will be a factor, and Batton likely will as well.

That said…

NO ONE has any idea who the starting down defensive linemen will be?

Really cool to see how many different defensive guys were named.

Offense was mainly Sanford and Young, our freshman are TALENTED

Holmes
Cooper
Stillman
Mack

Would be my guess

Benton
Rogers
Allen
Tucker

As 2nd unit. We got some big dudes on the DL now. Didnt even mention Garfield, Lee or strong who are all upperclassman. Lee had a really good year at central Michigan.

Probably a good guess. Don’t forget Zykeius Strong, 6-6, 270 DE. He was the first DE off the bench last year, and he was behind a draft pick and an All Big 12 selection who was picked up as a free agent. I’m also curious about Quindario Lee. He committed to Minnesota over offers from Michigan State and Maryland. I think the DL and the defense as a whole may really surprise this year. The staff has brought in a lot of good players up front, at LB, and in the secondary.
