I have a source close to Hayden Wright and Kingwood High School and they said he reported to Northwestern weighing closer to 250lbs. He’s weighing 280+lbs now
I think so too, however, I just don’t see him being a starter if McCutchin returns. I can see Mack & McCutchin starting at the DE spots while Washington/Buhake/Rice rotate off the bench; & that’s contingent upon us not bringing in another Eddie Walls type or 2 via the portal.
If anything, we need to bring in 2 studs at DT to pair w/ Laufau. Myles Parker is unproven & Thompson/Brooks have never taken a collegiate snap. We HAVE TO replace Carlos Allen’s production if we’re gonna have success on defense next year.
I spoke to a linemen one grade older than Wright at Kingwood hs. He told me that those kids in Wrights’s 9th grade were beating 11th and 12 graders as freshmen. That 2025 senior class was special.
Almost accurate. For some reason Jalen Mayo is not even a searchable player much less viewable as a transfer here. Not sure why he does not show up. Curious if anyone knows.
