Dana’s recruiting is like going to Vegas. There are higher odds on the portal 2-3 stars (slots) and you can even spin the big wheel in the casino lobby (4-5 stars).

It’s always a factor, but small receivers have excelled in the B12, just like in other conferences. A fast and quick guy who can catch is still gonna win most matchups.

Lol I actually didn’t mean it that way, but I see how it could be interpreted that way.
He brought in Marcus Jones & the dude excelled at that (among other positions), had it not been for penalties at the beginning of the season, Tank Dell would’ve had a handful of Punt Returns this season. Similar thing with Jayce Rogers and Kick Off Returns.

I get what you are trying to say but only thing we care about is getting better. We have plenty of size at WR. Also this guy has track speed so he definitely is “faster”. The biggest difference between P5 and G5 is in the trenches not the skill players. We need P5 athleticism and skill. Horn has that. That’s why his offers since entering the portal are Houston, WVU, Pitt, Virginia Tech, Missouri, Colorado, Texas A&M, Penn State. All P5. If we turned down good players become of their size we would have never had Dell, Dot, Parish, or Marcus Jones.

Those 6’5” WR are hard to guard, TT and Texas do a good job getting the big receivers

Lots of big brands after him too though.
Holmes has also been offered by Texas, Washington, Ole Miss, Arkansas, etc. He’ll be tough to reel in.

Feels like we’ll get some transfers, no real difference makers, and no changes to staff. Kinda of what’s expected with Dana.
Opportunities are there and fans gets excited but he finds a way to be below average.

The guys was not a good managerial head coach but was a hell of a recruiter and with the Big12 now could do some wonders and help Dana with recruiting. Bring back Levine as recruiting coordinator! He did so well at recruiting and actually is what led Herman to have the talent his great seasons. I beleive when Dana was OC at UH before that Tony Levine was on the staff at the same time. Bring the man back and he can help in landing some of these whales with Dana. Tony has continued to promote UH on social media even after being fired as head coach, so he still loves the program.
