It’s the SEC way. Tennessee bought out the return game to Provo just a few months before the season and we had to back fill with Sam Houston.

I bet OU will come to play us in 2028. They are thinking about recruiting in Houston and inviting a lot of recruits to the game.
I can almost guarantee you any school outside of Texas that is suppose to come to TDECU, will not cancel it.

Playing in Houston to recruit has zero appeal to schools else they would have lined up to play here.
Even less so for schools with the regional name recognition of OU
