My point was not that there aren’t D3 football schools. It was that there are many non-football D3 schools. Baseball at the D3 level is far more competitive than football. Football probably has the largest talent gap between classifications, and very few D3 schools have the budget or facilities for high level S&C development, so the gap grows throughout their school careers.
In basketball, NAIA is for sure stronger than D3. The top NAIA programs usually grab D1/D2 guys who have baggage or academic issues. Also older players because the clock rule doesn’t apply to NAIA, a lot of 25-28 year olds go there to get back into college ball.
I had Prof. Huber for Commercial Transactions. I am not surprised he felt that way. He was an odd duck and not a very good prof. However, I did get an A in his class, so bully for me

I had Huber for Administrative Law and got a C+ I think……and got NOTHING out of the course!!!
The dude couldn’t teach his way out of a hole.

I had Dr Bott for freshman chem he also wrote me a letter of recommendation for dental school. Great dude.

My brother had him too and spoke very highly of him.
I took the easy way out and took Chemistry at HCC (with my then girlfriend, now wife).
Turned out my HCC professor taught my dad!! 
Once he found out who I was, he “asked” me to help him out with every single item in class. Carry toxic materials, cleanup spills. He even asked me to fix the bunson burners for lab. I am like, “dude, I am a banker and wannabe be lawyer. I am only taking this course because I have too. I am not a scientist, engineer or anything close.”
