UNLV to the Big12, not the PAC-12?

“[Ziegler] Sources said there are no talks between UNLV and the Pac-12. UNLV is allowed to leave the MWC to join a P4 conference anytime without penalty. They are confident that the Big 12 is a viable option – so confident, that they’ve told recruits they’ll play in the Big 12 before they graduate.”

Who do we balance them with? South Florida or Mudcats? Neither looks good

When are they going to let the big 12 know they are coming?

Not knowing actual numbers, for me my expansion candidates would be Boise State, SDSU, Memphis, Tulane.

USF, easy choice.

I still think we should add Oregon State and Washington State…

Just say no to Mudcat

None of those help the conference at all. If you pulled my arm and forced me to pick from that group it would easily be SDST but not sure I want an outlier in the SW US.

That’s where I’m at too on all those schools…errr …those Level 2 NFL teams.

At one point there was a “report” that Wazzu recruits were being told the same thing.

Take it with a grain of salt.

Am I missing something? Why should the Big 12 invite anyone?

How does USF help at all?

I agree.

The Big 12 shouldn’t be looking at anyone outside of the ACC.

They should focus on:
Clemson
FSU
Miami
Duke
North Carolina
VT
That in returns puts us on the same level as the p2.

SDSU wouldn’t be that much of an outlier with the two Arizona schools, Utah, and Colorado, but I agree that really none of the schools listed adds much to the conference. I’m fine at 16 unless some ACC programs were to become available.

We add a UNLV, SDSU, Oregon State, Washington State, Memphis type school and we might as well voluntarily make ourselves G7
