UT and OU's worst nightmare

Players also want playing time. Players also want to win.

OU and Texas staying till 2025 is always their worst nightmare bc it’s 2 yrs of big12 teams really wanting to beat them. It would be like us in the aac one extra yr which would suck so UT can pay or play. 2 yrs is a long time next yr and next for them to wait but the big12 is right holding them or pay.

Oh they absolutely do care. The money quote:

The new members’ start date of July 2023 meant that the Longhorns and Sooners would compete against them for not just one season, but two. This did not go over well in Austin and Norman. Though it mattered not to the result, Texas and Oklahoma did not cast votes to add the four schools. “We didn’t have a vote, and now we have to play them?” asks one official.

Given that they’ve happily played BYU and UCF multiple times in the past 10-15 years or so, it’s not hard to guess who they’re unhappy about.

UT’s and OU’s delayed arrival in the SEC reminds me a little of UH’s 5 year waiting period to join the SWC in football and basketball, albeit for completely different reasons. SWC members wanted the waiting period so they could catch up to UH in basketball.

UT and OU need 2 years to catch up to SEC level recruiting in football. My UT friends think they are already there, but I see UT and OU a notch below the level of Georgia and Alabama rosters. UT vs LSU would probably be a toss-up on overall talent, with UT getting the nod on QB.

B1G already said no to Kansas.

Football brand is too sucky.

They already have enough football parasites.

This is indeed their worst nightmare.
Why did they nit want U of H, smu and tcu in the BIG12?
RECRUITING in major/highly populated areas.
NOW they have to deal with ANOTHER Power Conference member arguably in the best recruiting area in America.
What did Barry Switzer say?
"You put U of H in? Then I can win a National Championship every year"That is basically what he said.
I keep reading madcowsu will get much money. Are you that naive?
MADCOWSU PRINTS MONEY WITH THE PUF.
Better conference?
madcowsu has sucked for years. What makes you think they will even be competitive? They have had on papers the best recruits their PUF money can buy. Ask atm how they are doing in the sec with a ton of five stars?
The other point of being their wirst nightmare is because they JUST CREATED AN OPEN DOOR TO RECREATE WHAT MIAMI DID. Houston area recruits are being sold to create history, stay in Houston and win National Championships
IN HOUSTON.
This is the last outcome they wanted.

How sweet it is.

Eat Em Coogs!!!

You have to hand it to Yormark for sticking it to UT.
We got a sweet entry into the B12, you could not ask for anything more.

Indeed.
madcowsu told us repeatedly they are an elite.
Are they with Stanford?
No
Are they with Berkley?
No
Are they with USC?
No
Are they with ucla?
No
Yes they are going to the sec. Is that an elite academic conference?
NO
Indeed this is the worst outcome they could have imagined.

More than the big 12, that’s for sure.

Moncoog what is it with you and madcowsu?
Do tell.
Yes what about U of H getting a PUF share?

It’s not about academics.

It’s about sports, and especially FOOTBALL.

In FOOTBALL, the SEC is far more elite.

And the annual rivalry with aTm is renewed.

That’s what they want.

They could care less about the Big 12 they left behind.

It’s also about academics. UT wanted to go to the PAC when the SWC ended but could have gone SEC with atm. UT felt the SEC was beneath them academically.

Now the SEC has more AAU members than the big 12.

I wonder if they didn’t to big10 because OU couldn’t get in.

The fact that UT chose the Big 12 over the PAC when aTm left for the SEC shows that academics DON’T drive this.

If they did, then they wouldn’t have stayed in the Big 12.

The academically better PAC tried to court UT at that time.

That UT chose to stay in the academically weaker Big 12 tells you all you need to know.

Big 12 seems fine letting them go as long as they can negotiate the financial obligations UT and OU agreed to.

Which it seems like they had.

The current negotiation was reportedly undone by the networks, not the Big 12.

That’s what everyone is reporting. Including the article in The Athletic.

Which is which law. You have told us for years that madcowsu was going to the PAC.
The thread is about madcowsu and OU worst nightmare.

Their worst nightmare is having to read 92010’s Interrogatories.

I NEVER said that UT was going to the PAC.

Never.

Don’t know where you got that from. It sure didn’t come from me.

The PAC tried luring them when aTm left for the SEC.

UT said no way.

But yeah, having to stay in the Big 12 two more years and not go to the SEC is a nightmare for them.

They couldn’t give two cents about the Big 12 now and resent being forced to stay in it and play UH.

So?
Between you and I what is it that you can’t answer this basic PUF question? You seem to come up to bat for madcowsu at every chance you get.

You wrote multiple times over the years that madcowsu was likely to go the PAC. Which I did agree with. Never was the sec in the cards for any of us/including you.
