Having 4 out of 14 versus 3 out of 10 (the current Big XII) AAU schools isn’t exactly a reason to jump ship academically.
B1G money Vs SEC money is negligible. The reason UT and OU went to the SEC was the travel for their fan base. Plain and simple.
UT and OU could have worked out a lifetime OOC deal to keep the RRR going kind of like the days when they were SWC and Big 8.
But if you can’t show me the invitation in writing then it doesn’t count by your standards, right?

Texas and OU were the only blue blood football programs in the Big 12. Personally I wish they were leaving after this year.
Going to Norman and Austin probably ain’t gonna be fun next year.
OU was down because they lost their coach. They will be back very soon.
For whatever reasons Texas has been stumbling around for years with 5 star players all over their roster.
However I wouldn’t want to poke that bear too hard before we play them.
