If he was playing hurt also a reason to not watch those. I really have no interest in watching game film to breakdown his defensive abilities so I can tell the message board whether he will or won’t be good. I prefer to watch him when healthy and after being hardened by UH culture over the summer.
only 1 way to go up after 24-25…
Looking at the draft list. . How on God’s Green Earth was Rutgers not further in the tourney? With 2 of the top 5 NBA picks? Wow
the NCAA has alot of dog💩 ideas but doubt they’ll consider makes series in march madness lol
have the tourney run any longer and they’ll have to compete against other sports
The crazy part is that they didn’t even make the tourney!
Championship or bust in a sport that has over 360 teams and where the postseason is a 6 round, single elimination tournament is insane. You’re just setting yourself up to be miserable. We just had arguably the most successful season in program history (conference championship regular season + tourney, set a record for wins, and made the final) and by the championship or bust view it was failure. Make it make sense.
I don’t think they deserved to be seeded higher but the metrics did say they were a top 10 team in a year where the metrics were insanely reliable so they probably were closer in ability to a 3 seed than a normal 8.
I posted yesterday that this was my guess at who the starters will be by big 12 play because it’s the best approximation to this past season’s backcourt. However, I think despite the lack of experience things might flow smoother if Pops came off the bench as the 6th man. If the team starts a game off slow offensively then who better to bring off the bench than a player who specializes in playmaking and scoring? If the team starts out hot then how about a kill shot in the first 10-12 minutes of a game where the Coog’s bench separates against the opponent’s bench.
Also, CKS likes play 5 guards meaningful minutes but hopefully McCarty and Mercy force him to play 6. It would be nice to have the option to bring in a guy with perimeter length on defense and shot making ability on offense OR bring in a guy that’s just an all around bucket getter who can get the opponent in foul trouble.
A successful season doesn’t mean you met your ultimate goal…
6 Sweet 16s in a row… yeah… the goal is championship now.
shead was a great defender before he came on campus , he had a viral video shutting down a bunch of 5star in aau game that had like 400k views
LJ was not a defensive liability, wasnt good but wasnt a liability (he hd already started buffing up before he came to UH)… and sharp was more of an effort thing…his defense was bad, but it was for lack for trying
Pop was trying he just isnt good on D
Teams set multiple goals. Ofc winning a championship is one of our goals. But championship or bust means your season is a failure if it ends in anything other than the ultimate prize. I’m not willing to adopt that mentality with our program and don’t think others should either. Well unless they like being unhappy lol
Did CKS get to work Pop out before he committed? Did he pass his physical?
It’s like these guys never have listened to a thing CKS has said about winning and what he defines as success. These guys need to go tell CKS that this season was a failure and I’m sure he’ll enthusiastically agree. /s lol
What a shock, Pesik argues. Those comments came from those close to the program.
Point is Shead had to mature.
Cryer was a shooter and pretty much just that. Wasn’t anywhere near the defender at Baylor that he was with up.
And again point is all those guys went the floor to the ceiling in our program.
Promise you they know where Pop is with his rehab and health.
Doubtful, he’ll probably have to scramble to find a taker.
Nope. He would be 5th string. He may end up at TSU.
… Yeah no other way. Only a loser would think otherwise.
Did you think we had a loser season this year? I mean if there is only one way to think…
