On what do you base your assessment that his game won’t improve?
Who Galen? We are playing at a much higher level now in the Big 12
Milos ought to do what is best for him. Selfishly I would like him to return. I would like him to return for one reason. CKS and his coaching staff have been tremendous.
Can we get a game breakdown of all the plays he made that were good and then all of the plays he made that were bad. It’s the only way to truly know his NBA draft readiness
I understand that there’s at least a decent chance that Uzan comes back, but until I see that announcement I’ll view the team through the lenses of him being gone.
So with that being said I’m hopping on the bandwagon with you wrt Flemings. I think he’s the starting pg by the beginning of conference play. Start of Big 12 play I’m guessing it as:
Starters:
Cenac
Tugler
Sharp
Isaacs
Flemings
Rotation:
Harwell
Miller
McFarland
Sakho
It’s possible McCarty replaces Mercy I suppose. If Ramon gets another year I would swap him with Miller in the rotation. Regardless, it’ll be fun to watch play out and the fact that this is even a discussion is an indication of how talented next year’s team will be.
Miller ? ![]()
If you’re talking abt Galen. That would have been totally different deal. Wasn’t a team trying to Win a Natl Title. Was more out of necessity imo.
Flemings will have his time, i just hope he’s not starting come early November.
Edit: These are my opinions only n not to be taken as anything other than that. ![]()
What is the latest on McFarland? Is he fully healthy?
You’re right but Galen is no where the player Flemings is. Sorry to the Galen Robinson fan club.
Ok.
When pressed, when pressed, didn’t you watch the last few games? When uzan was pressed, he had trouble getting it across half court… didn’t you watch the games or you comment with little knowledge?.
Deer in headlights.
About half of nba players drafter are in league 5 yrs later. With regards to 2nd round, about 33% are in league 5 yrs later…
True, but Kingston is a much better player as a freshman than GR was.
Not to long ago you were saying he needed to learn how to “dribble through a trap”….
It is you that “comments without knowledge “….just because you watched the game doesn’t mean you have knowledge.
Ask Coach Sampson if it was a totally different deal….every game is life or death with that man.
He would not have put GR in that position if he didn’t think he could rise to the challenge.
IMO, I think he and his staff will get Kingston coached up this summer and let him work through his mistakes in non-con.
Of course if Uzan takes himself out of the draft then he can mentor KF on the system….
KF is uber talented.
If you use 247 composite rankings we have 3 players coming in who are very similar to Maluach, Evans, and Knuppel in recruitment rating (.9981, .9951, and .9946) with Cenac, Harwell, and Flemmings (.9981, .9958, .9931). 2 of those 3 started every single game for Duke and Evans played about 14 minutes a game, Knuppel played 30 minutes a game. Our system is more demanding but let’s not act as if our guys are scrubs
I’ll leave it with that CKS was still trying to build the Program ( his 2nd yr) in Galen freshman year, doing all he could to bring in any decent talent possible w dilapidated Arena n not much to sale potential recruits on.
Took till Galen’s junior year for them to even make the Dance. Big difference imo.
Ok back to Uzan talk n hoping he returns to the Coogs!! ![]()
Even with Uzan declaring for the NBA we’ve probably never had a more talented set of PGs under Sampson than Pop and Kingston. That fact that one of those two likely comes off the bench next year is insane. Major luxury. Only a handful of programs had that level of talent/depth this year and two of them were in the F4 (Duke and Auburn).
Is he proven?
In two B12 seasons, he averaged 2.7 and 3.5 ast/game. In his 8 games at Creighton, he averaged 3.9 ast/gm.
In all 3 of his seasons, his ast/to ratio has been horrific - 1.17, 1.4, 1.34.
Having a primary ball handler who doesn’t protect the ball doesn’t bode well.
