What exactly is the issue? We have alt jersey days (that is probably the best in college football), insanely awesome space themed helmets, hot shot QB, might be ranked in the teens soon, weather is getting better, cheap as hell tickets, in the big 12 now so much better football team visit……I feel like UH is doing their part.
Not to make an excuse for the overall attendance but the image was during halftime. The majority of attendees run for cover of the concourse during halftime.
Beat Tech!
Pregame actually.
Even when we have had good crowds, our fans have never been in their seats by kickoff, let alone pregame.
If it bleeds it leads.
There’s never any emphasis on the success stories. The ones that tug at your heartstrings. For instance, Take TimmyChan. He has to get up at 10:00am after drinking until four and literally walk to the game. No breakfast, no coffee. And then he walks several stairs (with no help from security), and upon finding his seat he has to drink (4) 25oz. beers just to get his pH levels back in a normal range.
Not even a blurb on Fansided.
We’ve lost our compass.
Nobody goes to the movies anymore either.
Despite poor fan support, I feel like UH is the little engine that could.
My dad told me it looked like a spring game attendance wise. Even then I wish we’d draw more than we did yesterday for a spring game.
I’m in complete agreement with the inconsistent ‘security’ that stand in the middle of the aisle blocking the path. Some days they want to check tickets some days they don’t. And it’s not consistent from one aisle to the next. Let people sit where they want and if there’s someone in my seat who won’t move then I’ll go get someone from section 12X to punch them in the face.
In addition:
There are probably 25 parking lot attendants in the diamond lot to help guide 300 cars to their numbered spot. I’m pretty sure the people who can afford to park in that lot have figured out how to find a numbered spot at this point in their life. Reassign those people or better yet - save some of that money!
We really need an another thread and more hyperbole, Considering the start time and weather it was good attendance. Anybody actually there knows it was much better than a Spring game
Will not matter. That’s an excuse. Work with the ppl you know and build pride and passion then it will start to matter.
So what…
Yesterday was horrible butts in the stand. The stadium was half full up to half then worse
Oh no, bunch of keyboard warriors are ripping us for attendance…wgaf, ONLY thing that matters team fought back from 3 score hole and hung a big W up and is sitting at 4-1… rest will take care of itself. Go Coogs !!!
Context. The photos everyone is showing are from pregame and not halftime as was stated.
We are averaging 27,757 after three games. The Rob at capacity was 32,000, We’ll get there.
I don’t really care about the attendance issue because unfortunately many of the so called Cougars’ fans always have something to complain and cry about like, coaches, score not big enough, players, poor defense, parking, food, drinks and of course, attendance. I believe that the university is doing a very good job in trying to bring fans down to the stadium to watch our Cougars play. The university has created a very fun atmosphere during the games, the food is better and with more choices ( a little expensive, but I think that some of money goes toward our athletic programs), the university is hiring great coaches, it is paying great money to them, the university is trying to put the best players in the field, the restrooms are a little bit more clean and the service staff in general are doing a fantastic job. In few words the university is doing its job, and now is up to the fans and to the student body to do their Job. Please, stop your complains and enjoy our Cougars.
The pics don’t do us justice. We did have a legit 25500 there at first. The heat caused fans to go on concourse. Again why doesn’t espn let southern teams play at 7pm Saturday for the hot months and the northern ones play the 11am ones? Lsu plays at 7pm mostly in BR, but it’s an outlier. I was there and it was at least 25k early on

Blaming the customer is never a good solution.
UCF has figured this out. They are similar sized urban school that face many of the same challenges we do.
Their game day entertainment and atmosphere is night and day what we do. We should be copying them.
