Week 6 AP Poll (OUT NOW)

Arch is a good quality college QB who will blossom into a great college QB, but the HUGE shadow cast over him and the absurd expectations seem to be weighing him down. The worst part is it’s too late to change his name to Smith. Arch will be fine if people will STFU and leave him alone.

We’re a year early. Willie’s contender will come next year. It’s year 3.

The rankings at the end matter waaayyyy more than the rankings in the first hall of the season.

If the Coogs go to a bowl, it was a good season.

If the Coogs win 8 games and go to a decent bowl, it was a very good season.

If the Coogs win 9 games and go to the Conf championship, will be a great season.

If the Coogs win the conf and go to the CFP, I’ll say… “I told you so”.

But, most importantly, if the Coogs win it all, the in-game threads will undergo a transformation, and lifelong Coog Fans can die happy.

Line on the Tech game started at 8.5, now at 12.5. I wish it was 20 so they come in very confident, it is always sweeter that way.

The Techies SHOULD be confident. They should expect a rout. The thing here is I have NEVER seen a checkbook get a first down.

The public is very bullish on Texas Tech, hence the opening line going from -8.5 to -11.5 to -12.5, depending on the Sportsbook.

We will be for sure.

Its BS. TT getting tons of press and is a media darling for one stupid game over a team that is grossly overrated. We have to beat those tumbleweed cow-effers.

The CFP is a subjective beauty contest and is exactly what is wrong with the college game. In the NFL and high school ball you don’t see the playoff teams decided by who got the best tv ratings or who whines the loudest — they are 100% objective.

If the NFL were like college ball the Cowboys, Pats, and Steelers would be making deep playoff runs every year because they’re the traditional brands and everything would be skewed toward them. Their divisions would automatically get byes and they’d get the best players because of $. Teams like the Lions and expansion teams would never stand a chance unless they worked three times harder and had sugar daddies giving them $$$. In high school we’d see freaking Odessa Permian and Allen getting playoff bids at 7-3 while a North Shore or Beaumont West Brook would need to be 9-1 or 10-0. The list of state champions and Super Bowl champs would look completely different.

We have a chance to break through on Saturday and slap down a sugar daddy team. Their football and basketball teams are bought / manufactured vs. our teams which are put together the right way and developed. Their 4-0 is somehow perceived to be worth more than our 4-0 so we’ll just have to demonstrate to the world on Saturday that we can play football too. It’s not the first time we’ve had to expose a paper tiger.

Right one. pennentatiary state played four, yes four home games. They had played against three cup cakes before this loss. They lost against a top ten team at…home and they are still ranked higher than teetech and Iowa State. These rankings are indeed not true rankings.

Now who’s being naive?

So explain it then. When there are myriads of tie-breakers determining wild card teams, how is it subjective?

No it was just a great opportunity to use the line. But I did think it was strange that ancient Tom Brady and Gronk were able to roll right into another super bowl, and on home field…
