Weigman on Keisean and staying at UH for 2026

He went through a pretty godawful stretch after the ASU game where he committed a season’s worth of turnovers in three games. If he does that with Keisean on the roster, I expect his butt to find the bench.

He was our leading rusher in all three games and threw more touchdowns than ints. Far from 'godawful"

He also threw the most interceptions per pass attempt of any QB in the nation during that stretch. If you’re turning the ball over at that clip, you’re an offensive liability.

Even at an SEC or B1G school?

It doesn’t matter, we are in the Big 12, not the SEC or the B1G. But even Texas, a SEC team, never started Arch over Ewers, unless Ewers was hurt. I could see a similar situation next year for us.

Weigman and Keisean have been talking throughout the entire recruiting process

Lol Quin Ewers led Texas to a Sugarbowl and Cotton Bowl back to back.

It’s Texas. Where else was Manning going to go? All other blue bloods had quarterbacks already

Stop feeling inferior

To who? You?

Have some pride in UH and what coach Fritz is doing. Stop thinking we can’t do things that blue bloods do. Sampson would destroy your mentality

So……

I was right.

And Weigman led a team like Houston that was 4-8 for two years in a row to a 9 win season. Just as big of a feat. And this next year we can do even better.

Are you kidding me? Manning had a long list of suitors. He could’ve literally gone anywhere else.

But did you consider UH is not a blue blood?

The guy we lose will be Carlisle who has played only a few snaps
He wants a chance at qb1 not qb2 and maybe qb1 in 3 years
Wish we had a more creative OC who could wrap him into the offense in a hybrid role

Add in the fact that Ole Miss and Tennessee were gunning for him hard, especially Ole Miss until Arch said he didn’t want to go to any school a family member played at.

Plus the appeal of playing a larger city like Austin or Baton Rouge where he can blend in as opposed to a college town like Athens, Tuscaloosa or Oxford where he’s be under a magnifying glass.

We are winning the Big 12 next season.

I doubt it, TT schedule soft ass puppy poop in the rain (see what i did there lol), probably going undefeated, we will not beat them in Lubbock

I mean their schedules not that soft. They have both Arizona schools and all three Texas schools. They may go undefeated in the regular season but we can still beat them in the CCG.

Their schedule looks just like ours.

They’re losing a lot of key players on both sides of the ball. I’m sure they’ll get some nice transfers, but I doubt that defense looks the same next year.

And if we can’t beat them, then their schedule is irrelevant.
